    Oh - didn’t realise GS had rust inhibitors! That’s a bonus. I’ve got both GT and AD Decon and agree with your findings. AD actually spruced up my spray on / rinse of sealant but that was about it. GT for a proper decon. Good video as always mate.

    As always a great video. Superb editing. It blows me away just how good you get the shots and knit it all together. I wish you do more but i know the effort amd time that goes into each one which is what i like rhe most.
    Product wise i think its all been said. Looks like they rehashed their citrus Perl shampoo with a new name to make it more appealing with the Decon name. Iv still not cracked my bottle open yet but mught just on the mext wash of the Landy and see how it reacts on the coating 👍

      Thanks Andy!, really appreciate your feedback mate , I try and put the viewer right where it’s happening as I know it’s not easy to see on a white car so that’s another challenge , as for not getting much content out it’s a real battle for me with motivation, it’s comments like this that really mean a lot to me and encourage me to get out there filming 😃
      Product wise I’ve never tried Citrus Perl shampoo, wish I had some to compare now but I’d be really interested to hear your thoughts when you get a chance to try decon 👍

    Looking good Graham. I bought some a while ago and touch wood the sealant I then used has bonded better to the paint work and is still working now.

    I have to agree Graeme about the lance application... I tried it myself and dont really see what benefit there was, unless going for the american shampoo snowfoam wash - not my thing but each to their own.
    I know some people keep trying to compare this to GT Zero Decon but apart from the name i dont see any similarites - this is definitely more of a cleansing shampoo for reviving dying sealants or preparing flat paintwork for a new LSP.
    Well edited as always and im with you, no need for posh mats lol 😅

    • @GMDetails
      @GMDetails  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree the similarities are in the name alone , I don’t think it done half the job that GT zero decon does under the mitt but I’m not even sure zero would clean the paint as clean either tbh , I wouldn’t categorise them as anywhere near the same as they’re completely different on the ph scale , AD being mildly acidic
      Thanks for liking the editing mate , 😉👌

    Thanks for the review Graham but I’ll stick to Garage Therapy’s Decon shampoo - been really impressed with it so far. I can’t believe the Alpha Wax is still providing protection too after you applied it last year. I bought a tub but still haven’t got round to trying it out yet. Waiting for summer! 😀

    • @GMDetails
      @GMDetails  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Barry I bought 2 bottles of it thinking it would be brilliant 🤣 Nah to be fair it’s a very different product but being mildly acidic it’ll have its uses for cleaning ceramic based waxes / sealants , leave the real decon to GT 😅

    Excellent video Graeme, I’ve not really used this to try and strip a well performing LSP but if I did I don’t think it would do well. I have used it a couple of times to remove the very last sections of LSP to good effect. I’m looking forward to seeing how this works with reviving a ceramic based wax or sealant.

    • @GMDetails
      @GMDetails  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Dave!, it’s possibly because I found it slightly acidic which would explain the deep cleansing attributes where GT decon is a higher alkaline , maybe that’s what the difference is 🤔

    • @petersursaenke7193
      @petersursaenke7193 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Autobrite Decon shampoo is actually PH neutral when diluted.

    • @GMDetails
      @GMDetails  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @petersursaenke7193 It’s somewhat of a confusing issue with ph ‘balanced’ doesn’t mean ph neutral, balanced pH is usually between 3.8 and 4.2. pH is a measurement of how acidic or alkaline (basic) a substance is. The scale runs from 0-14. A pH of less than 7 is considered acidic, a pH of 7 is neutral, and a pH of more than 7 is basic. Used more for skincare terminology, not sure what they’re trying to achieve by ‘balancing’ paint ph 😅

    • @petersursaenke7193
      @petersursaenke7193 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s definitely PH neutral buddy. I’ve just done a PH test undiluted. It’s PH7 can’t upload a picture though.

    Excellent timing Graeme, I've got a bottle to pick up from Halfords tomorrow, so that came at just the right time for me. Gives me some confidence that it's a decent product. BTW, love my EZ Go brush, especially with carpet arch liners. One question, do rinse aids always contain some protection, if so, do they wreck your towels? Could I use ONR as a drying aid, lots of lubrication, little to no detriment to the towel? Thanks Buddy, all the best.

    • @GMDetails
      @GMDetails  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Lee!, you’ll enjoy using it I just feel GT does more work removing old waxes & sealants , but it does do a cracking job cleaning ceramic based products
      Rinse aids will wreck your best towels, I use cheap ones from B&M (RAC drying towels) but yes, ONR diluted at 1-16 will be a brilliant drying aid that won’t ruin your towels 👌

    Great video again, I did wonder if anyone would try and bring out another decon shampoo to rival Garage Therapy. Is it as versatile as GT 's, can it be used at say 10:1 for wheels etc. I didn't realise your car turned that slight hue of yellow when dirty but boy you could see the difference, oh by the way, I own said "POSH MATS" for cleaning my tyres...my knuckles never stop thanking me 😂😂

    • @GMDetails
      @GMDetails  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Paul, yeah you could use it on wheels no problem but I don’t feel it’s as good a decon product as GT , it’s mildly acidic for a start at ph6 so they’ve went the other way to GT there , but it does make a good cleanser of ceramic products

    What I’ve seen of this Decon shampoo it really seems more like their old citrus pearl which was just deep cleaning, in the same category as pyramid revival maybe as a protection cleanser rather than ultimate cleaning power from what we know as decon.
    No posh mats or brushes to help with tyres! I must be posh 🤵🏻‍♂️

    Decon shampoo seems to be a buzz product at the mo. Been using garage therapy for a couple of years. Tried Mitchell and kings strip at the weekend, I’ve no idea how it compares chemically to gt or autibrite but it seemed much stronger and left nothing on the car
