Yes this is the "dark version" of the song. You have discovered a very special artist here. I have always had an eclectic taste in music ranging from classical to rock to country you name it. Some of my favorites have included Meryl Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Boston, Eagles, CCR, Heart, Sound Garden, The Police, etc. - Eclectic. I love classical strings and orchestras. The dark feelings you get come from the key-change in the song if i remember correct from other reactors mentioning it. They went from major to minor key i think.

I would like to make two simple suggestions the first one is do just a small background research on her and you will discover who she is and how she became to be who she is today it is a very inspirational story and will most definitely tug on your heartstrings. And the second one would be to go back to her younger years when she was 14 on a talent show she did a performance of a Russian folklore song call the. Rechenka. It has become legendary and iconic because at 14 years old she use techniques that are extraordinary once you get through that she does a cover of Chris isaak's. Wicked games also a cover of rag'n'bone man Human. Every one of these songs are amazing and every performance that she does is shocking in its own unique way if you make it through those you will then understand she is now 21 and has done many many many many many songs and we hope to see more from you
Yes this is the "dark version" of the song. You have discovered a very special artist here. I have always had an eclectic taste in music ranging from classical to rock to country you name it. Some of my favorites have included Meryl Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Boston, Eagles, CCR, Heart, Sound Garden, The Police, etc. - Eclectic. I love classical strings and orchestras. Since I first heard Diana she has become a separate category for me and easily my all time favorite vocalist. She is phenomenal. You should check out her version of "Wicked Game" next. She was fifteen and it is utterly mesmerizing.

DEE ANNA is a Russian singer and is just 18 here. This was her opening performance on the Russian TV show ShowMaskGoOn where the nine participants judge each other's performances. All except Diana, who was by far the youngest, were seasoned professional singers, and the man who stood up at the end is a world famous opera singer married to an even more world famous opera singer. Diana ultimately won the competition. The break of voice made Diana’s voice even darker and deeper. She has mastered this time very professionally and has worked hard and successful to bring back the lost high notes and even expanded her vocal range, currently from C3-D7 (4,1 octaves!). Her genres are folk rock, folk pop, but also jazz, soul, blues, evergreens... and always in the unique Diana style... Tradition meets modernity.
Since singing a cover can be very expensive, Diana often sang very old songs. This secured her the love and gratitude of older listeners and revived the old songs. In 2018 and 2019 Diana entered a competition 'You are Super and won twice. That project is unique in the world, an international TV- competition especially for adopted and orphaned children.
The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to TH-cam and soon Diana had millions of fans.
The project producers help the finalists to start their studies and promote their creativity. Diana won a scholarship and Igor Krutoy (Russian music titan, billionaire, juror and sponsor) gave her a small apartment (37m²/ 398.26 ft²) in Moscow. There she lives with her mother and grandmother and was able to start her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskoy. (She died of Covid-19 in October 2020). Her Russian fans helped her and found a new voice coach: Alexandra Pismennaya (Sasha), who was a student of Prof. Donskoy. She and Diana are on the same wavelength and even became friends.
2020 Diana graduated from high school with honors as an external student a year earlier as “normal”, applied to music colleges and was rejected (examiners suspected she had a voice defect). But she is normal and healthy. Now she is a student at the university, at the legendary Russian State Institute for Theater and Variety Arts (Juilliard similar to GITIS).
In October 2021 Diana was invited to her first adult contest on Russian television 'The ShowMaskGoOn'. She won!!!
In December 2021, Dianas released her first CD with great success. Maestro Krutoy had introduced Diana to the excellent singer, songwriter and producer Brandon Stone. With Maria Tarasenko (songwriter), the trio created the 9 songs of the album and received gold in June 2022.
