- Hello everyone! Welcome or welcome back to my channel!!! In this video we are taking a look at some import plants that I received several months earlier.
Back in late June and early July, I received two shipments from overseas. One shipment came from a company called Aroid Asia, and the other came from Aroid Market.
These companies asked me if I would like to pick out some plants to unbox for you guys and I instantly agreed :). This video is an update on how those plants are doing since they arrived a few months ago.
I hope you enjoy seeing the changes, both bad and good, and learn that importing plants is a safe way to get rare or hard to find items that you can't find locally (and at great prices). I had such a wonderful experience doing this.
Thanks so much for watching
Your imports have done so well! That Florida beauty is gorgeous! I also love the Hoya tanggamus. Can’t wait to see how you pot them up.

This was a wonderful update everything seems to be doing fine too great. I love your choice of Pots and Rooting Vessels. It's always interesting to see how fast a plant can really grow in a matter of 3 or 4 months. I see your office is decorated for halloween too.😊😊😊
Hi Lynn!!!! Thank you!!! 🥰 it was fun to go back and see what they looked like when I first got them. I didn’t realize how much some of them had grown!!!! Yup….I still have more decorating to do in the rest of the house, but I’ll get to it soon 🎃.

Hi Gena, I think you’re doing a great job with your imports. I love the Hoya undulata. I can’t wait to get my hands on one of those. Great video ❤
Hi, Sylvia!!!! Thank you so much!!!! The Hoya undulata is a real beauty. I'm so excited to have that new leaf on mine after not being sure it would even survive. Love it so much and I hope you get one soon :).
You have some interesting and unique planters❤
Thanks Mary!!! 💚💚💚
Overall they grow, is great for you, congratulation 💚 just cut yellow leaf many energy for that 😊🤘
Yes! Thank you, Rev!!! :)
You did so well with all your imports. They look great. I have heard others struggle with the Queen A I will not even try to grow the velvet leafed plants except the Micans. Well and the purple Velvet plant but I think it is in a totally different genus and I do keep mine cut back.
Hi Chris!!!! Thanks!!! What’s the purple velvet? I need to look that one up I guess 😊.
Gena they all look great! Try putting the Queen in pon, they love it ❤
Ooohhhh….great suggestion. I’ll try that eventually. Still want to let it root more in the moss. Thank you 🥰.
Most attractive strawberry shake ever ...
Oh my gosh they are so beautiful!!!! Thank you 💚💚💚
Your plants look great! My Aroid market spartiodes died! I put it in perlite. It was a slow agonizing death 😢
Thank you!!! Oh no!!!! I just transferred mine to pon so hopefully it doesn’t throw a fit 🤞. Sorry you lost yours 🥲.

Personally I don't believe there is any difference between Black Cherry and the other PPP. But I will say yours has exactly the type of variegation they all should have. Sadly they don't. I chopped mine up and gave it all away for that very reason. That Florida Beauty is gorgeous! Of all the variegated plants, that one is my favorite.
Hi Kyra!! I think you are right about there not being a difference. But this “black cherry” is definitely more vibrant than my PPP. Yeah that Florida Beauty is a showstopper for sure. Thank you 🥰.
Hi Gena!
Congrats on successfully acclimatizing these beautiful babies!
I’m curious how you grow your PPP black cherry. I recently purchased a red Anderson and the coloring is similar. I believe both are supposed to be slower growers but clearly yours is not. She’s beautiful 😍
Hi Sherry!!!! So I have mine in a chunky soil mix with Fox Farms soil, orchid bark, charcoal, pumice, and some worm castings. I water it when it’s almost dry. The top of the pot will be dry but the bottom is still moist according to my moisture meter….which registers at a 1 or 2 in the dry area of the meter. Hopefully that makes sense lol. It’s under grow lights. Fertilizer once or twice a month. That’s all I do 😊. Thank you 🥰.
@@ThePinkTrellis Thank you Gena, I hope mine will grow as well as yours has. I have mine in front of an east window and I’m hoping that will be enough light to make her thrive 💚
Hoya undulata is a beast.😢
Hi Paul!!!! Do you have one? I’m just thrilled it gave me a new leaf!!!
Hello, loving the Hoyas because I'm a Hoya head. Question! I remember u did a unboxing of a Syngonium Batik & it was very water logged ( if I remember correctly) How is that plant doing for u? I ask because I have one that I purchased April of this yr. It has grown to the point that the roots are thru the pot & I had to repot this plant 2×'s since. But the leaves are so paper thin then any other Syngonium I've ever seen. I have a Syngonium Pink Spot that is totally no issue & the leaves are no where the texture of the Batik. Thank U
I forgot the Batik leaves turn yellow also. This plant is causing me stress lol
Hi Dorothy!!! Your experience with Batik sounds similar to my experience. Mine is very thin too. Almost like paper. But it’s doing just fine for me. I have it growing up the pink trellis. I’ll be doing a monthly planty update soon and I’ll try to remember to include that one for you 💚💚💚.
That aurea is not an aurea lol
That is what they told me it is, but I see why you say that. I've been waiting for the yellow to appear but so far it just looks like a plain variegated. Mistakes happen but we don't have to laugh at them. I'm happy to have either :).
@@ThePinkTrellis I hope it remembers to be yellow lol
