    Your presentations aren't just 'lectures' but they are artistic. This is art. The way you manage to compress huge topics into a single whiteboard, without missing all the important technical details is beyond my comprehension. You have a gift, Zack, and you really put it into use for thousands of people. I personally cannot thank you enough for your tremendous work. Thank you is the least I can say and please keep doing what you and the entire team behind you do! This channel is making a massive impact worldwide and will continue to do so.

I have seen a lot of videos about thalamus and I'm not judging them because they were also helpful but this one is way detailed and explanation is just makes sense. This is my second time watching because after first time I had to take a look overall anatomy of thalamus and learn it. So second time I got it clear

    In several of your videos you talk about pain signals and pathways instead of nociception, which is a real disservice to the quality of your videos. I'm sure you know the difference but many watching may not. It's also miseducating thousands of people who will go on to miseducate others, perpetuating misconceptions about pain. Your videos are so good, and this one little thing let's them down so much for me. 👍

    • @brainbaseddad
      @brainbaseddad 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NinjaNerdOfficial it is 99% awesome. As are all of your videos that I've watched. But I keep bumping against this. Pain is an area that I work in and the first thing I need to do with clients is teach them that pain isn't a signal that something is damaged. Pain is created in the brain from various signals IF it there is sufficient threat that is interpreted as important in that moment. Maybe you could do a video on modern pain science and clear it up for people? And obviously start talking about nociceptive signals instead of pain signals! Keep up the awesome work!

    The thalamus relays sensory impulses from receptors in various parts of the body to the cerebral cortex. A sensory impulse travels from the body surface towards the thalamus, which receives it as a sensation. This sensation is then passed onto the cerebral cortex for interpretation as touch, pain or temperature.
