  • In this video, Dr. Kushner breaks down the brain's middleman - the thalamus. In addition to projecting sensory information onto the cortex, the thalamus helps the brain decide what to pay attention to and what it can ignore.

Your videos have helped me so much. I'm taking psychology 201a and we are learning all of this remotely, so it's mostly reading. I love your videos, thank you so much! They make me feel like if I were in class. I really appreciate it.
Also thanks for not going super fast like all the other videos.

I enjoy these brain videos, but it always cracks me up when I hear people talk about how little we know about a scientific subject, such as the brain, but then ascribe different reasons for thing to evolution. Granted, this video used the term evolutionary theory, so it is acknowledged that evolution is just one theory, but many videos and scientists use evolution as reasons for things like it is concrete science.
    Good videos.

It would be great if there is a unified lecture about limbic systems that we can see all their relations to each other. In addition to limbic systems units, it can be really insightful to learn how specific function works like remembering in a more complete sense.
