Your videos have helped me so much. I'm taking psychology 201a and we are learning all of this remotely, so it's mostly reading. I love your videos, thank you so much! They make me feel like if I were in class. I really appreciate it. Also thanks for not going super fast like all the other videos.
I enjoy these brain videos, but it always cracks me up when I hear people talk about how little we know about a scientific subject, such as the brain, but then ascribe different reasons for thing to evolution. Granted, this video used the term evolutionary theory, so it is acknowledged that evolution is just one theory, but many videos and scientists use evolution as reasons for things like it is concrete science. Good videos.
I am taking a basic class on the brain but our professor dosent really go into depth on the functions like you do so finding and watching this video has been very enjoyable for me.
It would be great if there is a unified lecture about limbic systems that we can see all their relations to each other. In addition to limbic systems units, it can be really insightful to learn how specific function works like remembering in a more complete sense.
Your videos are SO helpful. I’m self studying AP psychology and your videos are all clear, easy to follow, and visually engaging. I hope you could continue making videos like this!!
I also had a thalamic stroke almost a year ago now, and I'm still learning! It's such a small area with so much going on, and my case has stumped a lot of neurologists. Are you having this same issue?
Excellent, very lively, and illustrative explanation! I have learned in this video what could have taken me ages through other sources. REALLY THANK YOU!!
thanks for your video! I was really hoping to find another video, focusing on attention and consciousness with respect to the thalamus. Any chance you’re working on such a video?
Have a 50 cent cyst on my left side hitting a piece of almost all spots meaning lopes is it possible that is why I get stuck with the past and can't move forward
My father was overdosed on hospital, went to cardiact arrest, no brain damage on mri But now now he has been in a vegative State in 6 month. 😢 How Can you stimulate the thamulus when you are in a vegetive stage?
Hi Bhumika, Thank you for the kind words. I cover memory formation in my video, Hippocampus. Is there a different topic within memory you would like me to cover?
@@PsychExplained thanks for replying..yes in this video you have covered explicit memory only, please do include implicit memory (procedural and priming). Also disorders and mathematical modeling of memory.:)

Hi! Unfortunately not. There are some really good videos on TH-cam that take a deep dive into the thalamus. Mine is more of an overview.

Hi Dr. Kushner
One of my cousin is diagnosed by "Infarct involving the left medial thalamus" what may be the reason causing this impairment
Great 👍

My father was overdosed on hospital, went to cardiact arrest, no brain damage on mri But now now he has been in a vegative State in 6 month. 😢
How Can you stimulate the thamulus when you are in a vegetive stage?
Thalamus in the center of the brain!
Would be like BT burying telephone junction boxes in the middle of the road under all the cables and pipes
Can psychiatric drugs damage the thalamus?
Hmm I’m not sure about this connection.
Please make videos on human memory in details. Your videos helping me in many ways. Thanks in advance :)
