The animals had to be raised on certain food, etc, and killed at a certain age, etc. He also hunted and fished for our food source. If any of our food during harvest or butchered, etc, was not right, my dad would throw it away. So we really had no processed foods.

This perspective on red meat as the top superfood is truly eye-opening! It's amazing how we've been conditioned to fear red meat due to concerns about cancer, heart disease, and more. But after hearing this breakdown on its superior protein quality, essential nutrients like iron, selenium, and collagen, and its role in stabilizing blood sugar, it makes sense why it might actually be key for optimal health. The insights into glucagon, autophagy, and how protein counters insulin are fascinating. Thank you for sharing this-definitely gives a fresh view on nutrition!

As a rancher, I let the steers eat the “greens”, then I eat the steers. Thank you Dr. Berg, your advice is life changing and I truly appreciate your support for the ranching and beef industry. ❤
I read Dr. Barry Sear's books too! So smart. New paradigm on food. Interestingly, he said somewhere in there that the body can start producing insulin very early... when you taste it. Even gum can raise insulin.
Dr Berg Notes Dr Berg tells you about the #1 superfood, red meat! Some people think green powder is the best superfood, but while it's very beneficial, it’s missing one important ingredient-protein. Green powder has vitamin C, K1, beta-carotene, magnesium, potassium, and phytonutrients but no protein. To optimize your health, you might want to start consuming grass-fed red meat along with your green powder. Red meat is an excellent source of B vitamins, fat-soluble vitamins, iron, selenium, zinc, and DHA. Grass-fed red meat also contains phytonutrients. Red meat increases the antioxidant glutathione and is a potent source of carnosine, an antioxidant that helps prevent glycation. Protein consumption triggers the hormone glucagon, which stabilizes your blood sugar and helps counter the effects of insulin. Grass-fed red meat protein is the best source of protein! A large portion of your body is made of protein. Muscle, collagen, ligaments, tendons, fascia, cell membranes, skin, and bones are all composed of protein. The 74,000 enzymes in your body are proteins, along with your neurotransmitters and hormones. Your blood contains a significant amount of protein, and it's also essential for immune cells. Red meat contains taurine, an amino acid needed to help prevent high blood pressure, and leucine, an amino acid that triggers the synthesis of muscle. Your body can make glucose from protein when necessary. Gluconeogenesis is the production of new glucose, which occurs mainly in the liver. The protein leverage hypothesis states that animals, humans, and insects will continue to eat until they satisfy their protein requirement. This is why you will overeat if you consume junk food-it has no protein! If you have low blood sugar, you should consume protein, not candy! Red meat contains myoglobin, a type of protein that helps carry oxygen. Red meat contains more myoglobin and iron than white meat. Cows, sheep, and goats have a unique ability to concentrate the nutrients from the grass into their meat. Thank you Dr Berg! 😺👍
I had problems with my stomach all my life. Chronic headaches as well. Went "ketovore" with 85-90% meat. Eat when hungry and stops when it start tasting bad. Went from 105kg to 89kg in 2 weeks (no extra cardio). Stomach issues are gone, and only have 1/3 of headaches. It clearly heals.

My energy so high.. yesterday I went over 7.0 miles over 17,000 steps and I was never tired… I eat meat 🥩 and my energy is so high.
Most who claim to be vegetarians don't know what is healthy and they eat way too many carbs including highly processed that it's not even real food yet claims they are trending as vegetarian . Obviously he unhealthy. I know of many vegetarians who never eat the dark green leafy greens, they are that way for a reason, they contain enormous amounts of minerals and protein.. The other veggies are nothing but carbs, sugar.

I don't disagree. My mother is 88 healthy and active no meds a great sound mind still. Doesn't eat meat. BUT all the greens she enjoys pays off I guess Cabbage cucumber pickles etc She's always eaten what she desires. Just small portions I'm 62 just like her So far so good

We need to stand with the farmers! The extremists are saying the animals we eat are bad for us & the climate. No farmers No food. You'll have no choice if they get their way. You'll have to eat bugs. 😡
it's the methodology that is problematic
conventional agriculture is against nature, factory farming animals is abhorrent despicable abomination of life
symbiotic, regenerative, sustainable, in accordance with nature
Actually that's the direction they want for us... believe it or not.. that's basically their @genda with more sinisters things in mind....

Dr. Berg is the most important doctor in the world who explains and details in a word
I can remember when they were saying eating eggs was like smoking 5 cigarettes.
Yet fried chips have the same carcinogen that smoking does but they never tell you that...
They should get sued for misinformation
@UltimateToronto Pretty sure a lot of that misinformation is intentional. "They" obviously don't want us having accurate information on good nutrition, let alone actual healthy foods.
Wow that’s disgusting that they lie like that .
Dr Berg I have cirrhosis of the liver, pancreatic insufficiency and type 2 diabetes ( under control mostly). What kind of diet do you recommend. I’m a 66 yr old male and confused.
I was lucky to grow up on a farm in South Australia and have Italian parents who raised their own food, including meat. My dad butchered our meat. The animals had to be raised on certain food, etc, and killed at a certain age, etc. He also hunted and fished for our food source. If any of our food during harvest or butchered, etc, was not right, my dad would throw it away. So we really had no processed foods.
I eat beef for lunch or dinner and chicken for lunch and dinner and that’s it and it’s changed my life. I was dying from kidney failure every day, not anymore.😊😊😊
Great information I now order "our cow" straight from the farmers whose cows lambs only eat grass..and it's organic..love from Australia 🇦🇺

Dear Dr. Berg, and I mean dear. I recently lost 22 pounds in 6 weeks, and I am absolutely amazed! It's incredible how things happen. I recently discovered your channel and immediately subscribed. You won't believe that I insisted that me and my wife must only eat chicken and pork because of all the negative things that have been said about beef. I've forwarded this video to my wife and I'm going to the market to buy beef tomorrow. I live in Nigeria and even though I live in a Government Reserved Area, we have cows all around eating grasses. Thanks a lot Dr Berg.
Stearic acid is a major, major one that’s often under appreciated.
Stearic acid is shown, in vivo, to stimulate mitochondrial fusion.
Heart and liver!! Our grandparents' generation would eat these once or twice a week. Incredibly healthy for people.
I've started consuming beef on a daily basis again & I'm feeling great, in fact every time I get sick of beef & remove it for a few months & then start again I begin to feel a lot better (energy, recovery etc.) 👍
I go 3 days without beef and I start to feel it, in my energy, my mind sharpness, etc.

Dr Berg Notes
Dr Berg tells you about the #1 superfood, red meat!

Your video is kinda confirming several health issues that I have been experiencing the past few years. I have greatly reduced my red meat intake and I noticed I started to experience weird health issues like palpitations, weird joint pain which I just associated with old sports injuries and getting older, weird fatigue, muscle aches, etc etc. I am going to slowly eat more red meat going forward from maybe once a month to maybe 4-6 times a month.

Thank You Dr. Berg, Great Video!!! I have had FOUR STROKES. I decided to finally take charge of my health by eating just eggs, red meat and healthy saturated fat. I was able to quit taking my blood pressure and lasik heart meds. I lost 60 lbs and still have 80 lbs to go but it's not about the weight loss but rather the heart, brain, and so many other health benefits the weight loss will take care of its self. After the stokes my gate and cognitive thinking was shot but 6 months later on meat and eggs and healthy saturated fat I was confinant climbing on a ladder and back programing a CNC. I have since had a surgery and other issues with my back and when I am in pain I lean on comfort food (carbohydrates) now my balance is all wacky and I can hardly perform any thing that requires serious thinking. My weight only jump up 10 lbs as I didn't fall of the wagon entirely. I'm back down to the weight I was before but my gate and brian is still screwed up but I am confident eating strict again my walking and thinking will return.

The greens powder form of Spirulina is well over 70% protein
That's because spirulina is a bacteria and not a plant. Most spirulina is high in heavy metals, though.
@@SootyPhoenix the chemicals come from bad processing and pesticides as they grow, as is the case with many vegetables and fruit. Hmmm I wonder why.
Most are not aware. Also the leafy greens in its micro and sprouting form have more nutrients than in its mature form.
Different kind of protein, not the same.

I make chili with 100% grass fed beef, its my main protein source
what should we do If we can't find grass fed? is it good for health to eat grain fed?
Better than no red meat at all.
Look for pasture raised chickens eggs or wild caught salmon.
It's still better than carbs!
Lots of online options - or search "grass fed or pastured meat near me" and peruse a website called "grow local". You'll be surprised to find farmers near you growing grass fed (unless you're in the gobi desert, lol)
Most cows eat grass during their life span, they just get fed grain in the end to fatten up. If you can't find 100% grass fed & grass finished, then grain finished is STILL better than anything else out there so don't let that stop you!
