    Great video, thanks for posting. My son's tires were fine one day and almost bald the next (as it seemed), this video will make it much easier.

      Thanks for the comment! It seemed more difficult than I thought it should have been, so I’m glad the video helped someone out there 👍

    Thanks for the video...just put some Michelin starcross on my 5 year old bike! Took the original tires off it from 2003

      Glad someone found it helpful! Thanks for the comments. I was beginning to think I was the only one who was a little puzzled about the job going into it

      Was the starcross TYRES any good for the pw50

    Oh boy, this is a job I have coming up as soon as I find the new tire we have in storage. Now I know we can help me, ;)

      all mini-bike tires are a pain to change! The PW is tricky only because of the rear swingarm setup

    Thanks for the video, I just put a Michelin starcross on my 6 year old daughter's peewee I only wish the tyres for my husky were as easy to fit.

      I’ve since switched to a mud and sand tire in the rear as these Pirellis are a bit soft and better for hardpack. Here in Florida, he was struggling for traction in the rear

    Schrader valve. Is the tiny thing you removed where you put air in.

    How did you find the difference over the stock tyres?

    • @John5XR
      @John5XR  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      While I can’t value the feedback of my 4-year old, I feel they’re much grippier by how much deeper the knobs are and how much softer they are. They also seem to tear up the dirt much more than the stock tires. He did seem more planted with them, but then again, at 4-years old, consistency is hard to gauge!

    Do you know the size will 60/100-10 Dunlop deomax tires fit

    Question: so my rear tire sprocket thing spins but not the tire. I didn't take it apart yet but what could it be?

    • @mastermattk
      @mastermattk 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There also is a lot of play on the rear tire.

  • @derek3107

    did you not grease that rear hub at all?

    • @John5XR
      @John5XR  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The wheel bearings or the pinion and ring gear? Wheel bearings are sealed and can’t be greased

    You'd find it a lot ezyer if you push the beed down in to the valley of the rim on the opposite side with levers

    Baby powder works good for removing the tire too.

    • @John5XR
      @John5XR  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does, I use a powder called “glove dust” on the inside of our tires to help with abrasion between the tire and tube

  • @tuckercassidy414
    @tuckercassidy414 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Our tire is flat. When I put air in it leaks around the rim. Do you know why and how to fix?

    • @John5XR
      @John5XR  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like a bad tube

      Not much really! I like to keep them a little soft for more grip, as my boy is not an expert rider and needs it

    Mate, i watched your whole video just to watch 14:44 to 15:14 because its the most complicated part, and you just stayed silent through the whole thing. I still have zero idea how to undo the rear wheel. If you are going to make a how to video, please talk to us and explain how to do these things, don't just fly through it because you think we'll get bored. We are here to learn, please teach us...

    • @jayshabica8850
      @jayshabica8850 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      its easy also if you dont understand how to, search PW50 removing rear tire and search for the rocky mountain atv mc video they explain it.
