You can get one direct from Canon on financing at as low as $450 a month. The camera rents for that a day. Just get a few accessories first. Monitor for sure. And some sticks and a cheap rig.
Does the top portion of the plate (the half that attaches to the camera) connect to the shoulder pad portion of the product via an arri standard dovetail? I'm basically curious if you are able to leave the VCT shoulder pad behind + drop into a dovetail quickly without unscrewing the rest from your camera.
Hi Luke, the dovetail in between the base plate and the shoulder pad is not the ARRI standard dovetail, as that would require more room than is practical (ARRI dovetail is wider than 15mm LWS rods for example). To quickly change between the VCT shoulder pad and something else, you can use a BPA-5. That is a little adapter that can be attached to a bridge plate, or attached to the BPS-2, or attached directly to a tripod snap plate if you like: www.arri.com/en/camera-systems/mechanical-accessories/camera-support-systems/camera-independent-accessories/bridge-plates#product-K2.0017138
anything compatible with C70 - have a small rig base plate to get around the screw mounts being across but C70 is much more boxier form factor - would this base plate fit?
Hey Lorenzo, yes, the monitor (or viewfinder) can be tilted up and down with one hand. The MVB-1 has a knob for adjusting the friction of the tilt adjustment, so you can set it at a friction level where repositioning is possible without it falling down. You can also securely lock off the tilt adjustment if you want, or use viewfinder extension brackets like the VEB-3 which has a friction adjustment at both ends.
This in confusing because C200 uses LM-V1 display. Here you are using a bracket for LM-V1 to mount LM-V2 display that C300Mk3/C500Mk2 uses. Can you explain?
Oh look, now my C500 Mark II just doubled in price
Hahaha
All my vids are c100MKII ... Cant wait to check out this C300MKIII
My dream setup, would love to own one, one day

how does the monitor adjust with this set up? In terms of being able to change angles of the screen? Is it easy to do with one hand?

So.. expensive smallrig plates?

Hi Harry J., the two monitors share the same interface. We have renamed the bracket in the meantime to Monitor Bracket for Canon LM-V1/2.
