It's 100% stolen labor and it's gross (the resulting images are also garbage). If you can't afford MTG-style art then change the creative direction of your game. I really liked his TH-cam shorts and think the shitty photographs really added to the look of this fake game.

I actually thought this was one of those 90's games that loved parodying Magic back in the day. I think it's cool in a sea of games built on fantasy we have a more light hearted game like this. We need more games not trying to be a person's main game, but rather a fun side game. Weiss Schwarz is kinda like that... or it would be if it weren't so expensive.

Those original Divorced Dads videos were so good in sure actually creating sellable cards was costly. $60 would seen reasonable for the relatively small demand for them. I look at it like when an indie developer releases a new game on a retro platform. They charge more for the novelty and the high cost of doing a small batch run of a niche product.

The draw at the end of the turn makes sense. You cannot play effects during your opponent's turn, so it lets you plan out your next turn better when you draw at the end.

You have to wipe all cards from field before you can attack directly, also terrain cards only effect the player who played them’s field, not your opponent.
The animation behind it is amazing, they're doing a great job. Hopefully the next set or expansion for divorced Dads eliminates the AI made images. It would be nice if they pulled from the actual animation, but royalty's I guess?
