You don't simply play this game, beat everything and your done (or to some people the game doesn't let you do that because it makes you so damn curious). You wonder, you replay the game, and start thinking of questions like "who built all the stone structures" or "why or how were the colossi made and why do they have their own special area" and "why are the colossi habitats ruins now? What was their back story or history. Was there a colossi vs man war because the soldiers in masks knew the danger of the forbidden lands before entering?. Thanks nomad for your dedicated years to this game. Hopefully, what's left of team ico hires you.

28:35 this may be due to the fact that since the spiritual form has realized the presence of wander, the carnal body has been activated to defend against it and not kill it, that or that it is a bug XD
I'll wholeheartedly agree that this isn't a game you play once & then forget about it. I've been obsessed with it ever since playing the E3 demo in the summer of 2005. I knew even then that this was going to be a special game ( as is ICO & The Last Guardian ) but I don't think I was prepared for just how immersed I was going get. Hopefully we get a director's cut/definitive edition to celebrate the 20th anniversary in 2025.
Oh... I wasn't expecting a goodbye. I'm not sure how to offer up any semblance of gratitude. But I do know that without this channel my understanding and fascination revolving around Shadow of the Colossus would be severely limited. I actually loaded the temple at the opening cut scene, so as no colossi are loaded the sword has no light, but it works as a story telling element for the end of the game as well I guess.

Every time I see one of these videos in my feed, I get the urge to play this game again. Even though I've done almost everything there is to do, I still don't even feel like I've scratched the surface. The atmosphere of this forgotten world just keeps calling me back. I am SO sad I joined so late for your channel and how much I've missed on the months I forgot to view your uploads. SO much work, more than I could've possibly imagined. You honored me more than anything and anyone else with everything you presented. Shadow of the Colossus was one of a time experience for me and to this day, it remains one of my favourite games of all time. When I played Ico, its chronological successor, I was already expecting something inferior, but I was amazed by the grandness of that game even though it was launched years before SotC. I played both games form then on, researched as much as I could about it and tried to piece the story the best way I could. I thought I had already understood everything that the games could've presented. I was wrong. That's when I stumbled upon you, +Nomad Colossus. In a one in a million chances, I so just happened to stumble upon one of your videos where you were actually playing one of the Colossi. I got excited! Had someone actually managed to do that?! I had to know more and I started following your channel, even if I never subscribed, only to see everything you brought up. It was then that I saw it. More than just gameplay, more than just Colossi. I saw the secrets. I saw hints. I saw clues that tied both of Team Ico's great games! What I saw, was beyond my wildest dreams. And I loved every part of it. Eventually, I got reckless. As my life got busier, I thought I would have time to come back here and see what I miss without any problems. I thought this journey would last forever. I was wrong. My hearts aches, knowing that the journey has ended. That the doors are closing. That I could wake up tomorrow and never see any sign of your channel again. I'm scared! I'm so scared! +Nomad Colossus I have only really known this game for a year now, and I must say it makes me kind of sad to join the community in a time where there is nothing more left to join for because all the cool stuff is covered by now. But this game is so awesome, and even though fighting boss after boss over and over doesn't sound good on paper, in this case it is just amazing. And this is the point where I'd like to thank you (in the name of everyone here, I think) for contributing to the SotC community with all your awesome videos. I believe you made the game more enjoyable for all of us by showing us the hidden information, the things that could've been, the theories about some things in the game and the one or two bugs, glitches and all that stuff which can be funny at times (The grass eating Agro on any surface: Wander: You're just eating something off of a solid stone tile, Agro... Agro: (translated: shut up and let me eat my rock grass, you bipedal little f**ktard) :D). Anyway, I know it will not help that much, but I think I'll subscribe just for the sake of what I missed and because the not-so-big things on your channel are also cool. And who knows, maybe there will be some more content for you to work on someday, even if it might be about a game that is not SotC but something similar to that. There are still controller controls for the colossi left over in the code as there was once an idea that on your 2nd play through, a friend could play as a colossus (via the 2nd controller) while you played as Wander . Sadly this idea was scrapped.
Now the Nomad must go... ...Until The Last Guardian comes out. Then they will return to help us find secrets beyond comprehension as they did for us here. I just hope that in The Last Guardian you can take direct control of the colossi that helps you. Or that it could be a great opportunity for a cooperative aspect having one person control the colossus while the other as the main protagonist.
I didn't play this game at release, but it's still one of my favourite games of all time. Actually i just recently found out that Valus can shake you off his leg, when i saw that, it blew my mind! i've been playing this game for years, and never saw that! it's crazy we still find things after 10 years! En mis ratos libres a veces veo algun gameplay de este juego o a veces me detengo a ver este tipo de videos. No se si es por lo épico de las batallas o por la maravillosa banda sonora o por lo original y misterioso de su mundo; pero este juego, este videojuego me ha marcado y es algo que sencillamente recordaré hasta el fin de mis dias con mucho cariño. Was given this game as a gift and it would be long till I even knew about NICO and ICO and Wanda. Still one of my most valuable possessions and I will be playing it till my doubtlessly untimely death.

The one thing I really like about the Dirge battle is that you get to use Agro. I really wish there would have been at least one more colossus where you have to be riding on Agro during the fight. Riding Agro while dealing with Phalanx is what most players do, but it's not required. If we do get a director's cut/definitive edition in 2025, hopefully Spider & Sirius will be put back in the game so Agro can partake in more of the action.

i remember this nightmare i had that i was playing this game and i went to avions lair as normal but instead of avion i was greeted by two dirges and it was the literal scariest thing i had dreamed at the time and it stopped me from taking the camera underwater lmao

I’m quite young for this game but I LOVE SOTC i got to the secret garden and the best thing I have is the cursed wander skin and nomads videos have really effected me and my siblings and this channel really improved the experience for SOTC it really helped me and my siblings with questions and curiosities and this channel we found is awesome and thank you Nomad Colossus

I think its impressive that they fully animated Dirge. Even though you most likely wouldn't even see half it's body.
I remember when i bought the game in 2008. It was only 15$ at Walmart and i said: Well i'm gonna give this game a try. Best 15$ i've ever spend in my life.

The one thing I really like about the Dirge battle is that you get to use Agro. I really wish there would have been at least one more colossus where you have to be riding on Agro during the fight. Riding Agro while dealing with Phalanx is what most players do, but it's not required. If we do get a director's cut/definitive edition in 2025, hopefully Spider & Sirius will be put back in the game so Agro can partake in more of the action.

i remember this nightmare i had that i was playing this game and i went to avions lair as normal but instead of avion i was greeted by two dirges and it was the literal scariest thing i had dreamed at the time and it stopped me from taking the camera underwater lmao
