The whole 'Dark World' thing is funny. In the Unused Classroom after you make it back, you can see the places you 'went' to: the purple maze, the chessboard, and that cupboard is the palace.
i know this game is old enough that literally everyone probably knows this by now. but i still find it interesting that at the first save point before you save. the name is kris. but after you save... its YOUR name. the one you put in for the person playing. during the game, especially in town at the end. people start saying your quite different to how you normally are. and considering at the end he rips his soul out. and you can still control the soul when its in the cage. pretty obvious that you took control of him against his will.
