Fun fact, that explosion and the accompanying sound effect are free assets from old versions of Game Maker (at least as far back as 2007) - which is the engine Toby Fox uses to make these games. As a long term Game Maker user, it’s hella nostalgic every time!

To explain the ending: Kris realises that Susie is now there and won’t get as much of the pie they made, this angers Kris before they realise about the secret stash of pie in the basement. Knowing the basement stairs freak too loudly and that it would wake Susie and Toriel up, Kris proceeds to use the only quiet method of digging to the basement and… Wait was that a gas line?
He skipped over it but I want to say, Suzie's line "Just waiting for today felt like.... YEARS!" Is kind of like those innuendos in kids movies. The people who don't know won't bat an eye, but us? we'll be giggling about that self-aware reference.

I honestly feel for berdly a lot, any character analysis of him does him more justice than twitter folk projecting someone they don't like personally onto him. He's a raging asshole with social issues caused by his upbringing, not the incel that people claim he is. There's no *hate* in his heart for anything unlike what people compare him to.
Agreed, he's like Papyrus in a way but for some reasons people don't see it and just hate on this character for bizarre reasons.

Okay so... about Berdly
Berdly is not just some nerd with a god complex. He's a kid who accidentally hinged his entire self worth on a skill that he does not have, and now that the illusion is fading he's frantically scrambling to protect his ego. The second someone shows any kind of acceptance for him that doesn't involve his academic performance; he stops acting cocky, because the only reason he was acting that way in the first place is because he needed to keep up the appearances that he was the smartest because he thought that was the only way anyone would ever acknowledge him. His relationship with Noelle only emphasises this further, because Noelle knows that Berdly's intelligence is all talk and yet still stays his friend, the only conclusion Berdly can come to is that she must have a crush on him. In Berdly's mind, the only way anyone could like him if they knew he wasn't as academically gifted as everyone is led to believe would be if they had developed romantic feelings for him. That is just really, REALLY sad.
And that's why it kind of irritates me to no end that 90% of the fandom sees this really complex character and just instantly writes him off as "he's annoying and therefore I hate him end of story"

@@PointsofData try playing it yourself, its well worth it, there are a lot of great moments that alpha cut out.
Plus, theres the jevil of this route that he didn't touch on at all.
@@PointsofData yeah he cut out major story points right before they happened so it gave the illusion that something else happened. Funny for comedy but horrible for first time watchers of DR Ch.2

1:20 the boss being a creature with giant rainbow wings is a reference to the Asriel Dreemurr (Undertale) boss fight at the end of the true pacifist route
1:16 it is a reference to the true pacifist route in undertale when you fight asriel's final form
