I'm going to act as if I didn't just make this public before I meant to... If you've watched the video let me know what was something you learned from it!
these tutorials are so well done, the production quality is great i love how you highlight the visual triggers on the map. its all very easy to understand. didnt know about the ramp height thing either. awesome video man cant wait for the next one
fun fact, pause hovers get more height than is possible otherwise. You will never see anyone hit pole hop in hidden base without a pause hover. Also, weight hop in this level is barely possible pauseless but is very tight and needs almost perfect timing. Also it is possible to get over the cages pauseless, a better practice spot for pause hovers is the raised walls right on the spawn of hidden base, which actually require good pause hovers and can't be done pauseless. The cages are a good standard hoverjump practice spot though. Sorry for nitpicking, this is still one of the best tutorial series on this game so far.
I said that the pause hovers I do in the video are unnecessary mentioning that it's technically possible to do all of them in the video without pausing but runners do it to be more consistent but I could have been more clear with what I was trying to get across there. That being said always nice to have more clarification / extra notes in the comments so thank you Jazz!
I got a tip for avoiding unecessary timeloss after the long hover over the gap after the second check: Do NOT shoot at the enemy that throws homing missiles at you, because there's a trigger next to it that will activate earlier, making the planes show up early and throw missiles on the middle of the road, making you either have to waste time avoiding the explosions or flat out hitting you and losing you a ton of time. Just run past the enemy and you'll be fine.
Hahaha, well this level requires you to make less than 1.5 seconds of mistakes after the first checkpoint to reach the fastest cycle and it's pretty difficult but if you miss it you have 12 seconds to reach the next one!
Yeah you're able to rebind it through steam! click on the game in the steam library and if you have a controller plugged in there should be a button called "Controller layout" under PLAY and the right most option. Personally I have it set to R1 on my PS5 controller!
@@Traitor1 Thanks Traitor! Side note, what controller are you using for these tutorials? I've seen a mix of GC, Xbox, and PS4/5 controllers, and I'm curious what you've found most comfortable

Yes! I've been waiting for this, and really trying to practice the last few levels!
Good luck I hope this'll help you out!
I literally just started looking at your tutorials and you uploaded immediately lmao
Gotta love that perfect timing!
HOLY CRAP THAT WAS ME :o Sick tutorial man everything was explained super well
HOLY CRAP ITS HIM HE'S IN MY COMMENTS RIGHT NOW! Thanks em! Tried my best with it!
Awesome tutorial! I'm going to try this and see if I can get zero cycle. I can't wait for the remaining stages!
You've got this smolimar! I'm sure with some practice and learning which parts you need to fix you'll be hitting zero cycle!

Oh you're right, I completely forgot about mentioning the Jet trigger! Brian with the help as always 🙏🙏
Incredible content ❤❤❤
That run looked like a damn TAS how perfect can it get 😂😂😂

Quick question, are you able to rebind start to a different button when speedrunning or do you have to use the default control scheme?
Yeah you're able to rebind it through steam! click on the game in the steam library and if you have a controller plugged in there should be a button called "Controller layout" under PLAY and the right most option.

Do you *need* to unpause with Start, or can you use A instead? (for context I'm using an Xbox One controller, not a GC controller)
Unpause with start. With A you would need to then do 3 A inputs in an incredibly short amount of time
