18 hours of attempts at the 15 second segment? Im going to guess roughly 4700 lives because 240 per hour gets 4320, im assuming you had most of those end early with a drowning, but I am only adding about 20 per hour because of respawn time and such.

Metal Harbor 15 seconds per attempt. 18 hours of attempts. so let's do the math 1 hour is 60 minutes: 18 x 60 = 1,080 60 seconds in a minute: 1,080 x 60 = 64,800 now divide the total seconds by 15 for each attempt 64,800 / 15 = 4,320 Total attempts/lives lost = 4,320 99 lives are the max so divide total lives lost by 99 for total Game overs 4,320 / 99 = 43 total game overs leaving 63 lives on the final set of lives. 11:53 I think I have a reason for that. I wonder if the game increases the "activate" range the faster your character is going, so as to not allow the player to accidentally skip important things. With the range being big it would of course let you just teleport to it.

I clicked on this hoping to learn how to beat Sonic Adventure 2 without the Anal. Imagine how disappointed I was when you spent he whole video going on about the control stick but never once mentioned how to beat even one level without use of the Anal. Nice video, great story, great pacing, compelling question. One thing: With no analog stick, bruteforcing should be a mildly attemptable problem. Would be interesting to see if there's anything that comes out of that - there's some other games where TASers have bruteforced adjacent problems, like Chef_Stef's work on Arkanoid on tasvideos, or more recently the Scattershot stuff in super mario 64 from Krithalith. Would be interesting to see if that bears any fruit, or if anything similar has been attempted for SA2

The sheer amount of required knowledge, skill and dedication/masochism aside, im honestly most surprised at the fact that knuckles managed to almost cleansweep all his levels, only being stopped by a pesky boss. youd imagine that the stage gimmick of "explore and find things" would be the most likely to be impossible to beat one level of, let alone all of them

One thing I hate about this this absolute masterpiece of a game is the music for knuckles stages, it's always something about his name being knuckles and the stage your playing, it's literally in every knuckles stage music, go ahead and listen
