Thanks man! Yeah I really tried to find something good to grow into and I am in love with this setup. They have been amazing! I can highly recommend them for sure!
I love this setup Chris. I'm working on all my organization systems right now for both of my Foresters. Definitely going to use this video for some inspiration!
Interesting. Always curious how others organize. Just found a backpack for outdoors by peak design that seems cool. I like how that north face bag collapses.
I know right! It always fun to get ideas from other esp with organization. I have seen the Peak Design bag and it does look really neat! The north face box has been great and I know I can use it for other things besides camping. I might get another one to be honest haha
Nice setup man. I've got a 22 Forester and my solo setup is a bit different. I have a 95 litre storage case that i keep all my camp gear in (waterproof and dust poof with tie down points), plus a Drifta Double dome swag that i keep my sleep system in. If i want to sleep in the car i'll chuck my Exped Megamat in the car and use Monkey Grip retractable ratchet J hook straps to secure my box to the roof cross bars to installed eyebolts. 10 mins to set up and go. If i want to sleep in the Swag i'll chuck the box in the boot with the swag with the back seat down and just set up the swag when i get to camp. No need to take the box out of the car. I also have an awning hooked up to Yakima easy off clamps for shelter - i can generally set up and take it off in about 60 seconds so i don't have to keep it on the car when not in use. I live in Australia so ground camping is generally just as safe as car camping - no big cats or grizzly's to worry about. Just goes to show that what works for some may not work for others. I really like those bags though... Great organisers for things like camera gear or first aid kits etc. I generally keep something similar in the boot with a first aid kit, fire extinguisher, air compressor and tyre deflators, detailing spray and microfibre cloths and cargo straps etc all the time. Keen to see more videos. The SK Forester doesn't get a lot of exposure on youtube for this sort of thing :)
Wow you sound like you have a nicely dialed in setup! Thats awesome! I bet Australia is a bit different then BC for sure espically with the bears hahaha. These boxes would be great for camera gear! I am working on a plan to get all of my gear set up for filming and photography as well. I am with same with the first aid kit and detailing stuff I keep that in the compartment above my spare tire. I was thinking the same about not seeing enough videos about the Forester on YT as well! Its such a great SUV for camping and getting around. I plan on making more videos with it for sure!
@@Chris_Palmer do you get the full size spare on BC? I know our SKs differ from the US SK's in that all models come with full size spare tyres and a CVT transmission oil cooler, bumping up our braked tow capacity to 1800kg. Unfortunately the full size spare limits the room under the floor but it's worth the trade off. I also keep my cargo blind in it's compartment under the floor so all I can really fit in there is some tools and some cam buckle straps and some rags
Hey Sorry I was not notified about your response! No I only have a doughnut sadly. I wish I had a full size spare! I think I would agree with you that having a full size spare would be worth the lost in room in the back.
I’ve been trying to find better storage and organization options, currently lugging a rubber made box around. It’s annoying, but it’s also strong enough for me to use one of my slide-out tables and the stove drawer on top of it for cooking. Feels much sturdier than my rolltop table for cooking, so that’s pretty much now just used for a side table.
I thought about doing rubbermaid boxes as well. I just couldnt with the amount of room they took up if I was not using them. I can definitely recommend these storage boxes! However, they are made from fabric and would not be as sturdy as the boxes you have now. I have started to look into more kicthen setup stuff myself so I am interested to find something that would work with the new setup.
@@Chris_Palmer its not confused me,,but its better to make more about camping,,cause everyone do videos about equipment,, how to sort it, what you need, dont need, ,in my opinion camping is free way to pack my self out of preparing 120 thing,,,easiest equipment do the most job,,,🤷♂️ its boring to see videos about how someone sort his equipment🤷♂️
@@ivanjancek7893 Well thank you for your thoughts on that. However, I feel like it is better to make content that I want to make because I enjoy making it. Setup looks awesome man, I’m a big fan of bags like that too, even smaller zip ones for different things and I toss em into bins too. Looks great 🙌

Oh Thank you so much! I am glad to hear that! I hope you got some good ideas from the video.
Really like the bags and how they load up. Could use those for my truck for my fishing gear.
oh heck yeah! The are pretty customizable so I am sure you can make that work. Plus they would fit perfect in the back of the truck
