OS BELENENSES FM23 REBUILD

- It is FM23 Rebuild time and this weekend we take on the challenge of rebuilding Os Belenenses from Portugal.
At the end of 2017-18 season, CF Os Belenenses (club) and Belenenses SAD went their separate ways, as the "Protocol on the use of Estádio do Restelo" ended and the SAD refused to negotiate a new contract with the club. So from the 2018-19 season, Belenenses SAD (the professional team) play their Primeira Liga home games at Estádio Nacional, whereas CF Os Belenenses registered an amateur team in 1ª Divisão Distrital de Lisboa, the equivalent to the Sixth Division (lowest Portuguese division), with the support of the majority of fans and club members.
As a consequence, Belenenses SAD was legally forbidden from using Belenenses' logo and name and now uses a new logo (along with being renamed to B-SAD after the 2021-22 season). In the first games of the season, the professional team saw home attendances of only a few hundred, whereas the new, amateur team saw home attendances of approximately 5,000, reversing a long decline in attendance figures.

I have always made content throughout my professional career, however, it has always been for someone else. In May 2020 I decided that it was time to create something for myself. Just a quick note or two from someone that works in the the Belenenses senior football team. We already got 4 promotions since we started “this rebuild” in the 18/19 season. We had to start from the 7th tier of Portuguese football and now we are in the 3rd.
And also, we kept the stadium as well. The only thing we didn’t keep was the place in the first division. BSAD lost everything else.
We are literally playing FM in real life and it’s something that I never thought I would have the opportunity to be a part of!
Once again thanks for letting new people know about our history and if anyone is visiting Lisbon you should definitely come to our stadium because we have the best and most unique view of the country!

Started my first ever FM save with Belenenses. As a rangers fan my club have been through the same and it’s tough. I wanted to take them on a journey back up. Currently in 2028 and we’ve just got into the conference league. Took me a while to learn the game but I’m obsessed now and we’re growing rapidly.
Great video. I can honestly now say I am a Beleneses fan and plan on visiting Lisbon to come and watch a game in real life
Im currently working on a custom database with a completely new country. Not anywhere OP where you only get 1 playoff spot to the champions league, 1 playoff spot to the europa league, and 2 playoff spots to the conference league. I want it to be a real challenge and whenever I finish it (probablly a couple months because theres 3 divisions that are going to be completely new with board members, custom logos, custom kits, and even some clubs I plan to add custom players that are like "stars for the country") just posting this to see if this would be interesting or would really never pop off

10 year rebuild on Spain. If you read the history of Unionistas de Salamanca and its predecesor UD Salamanca which disapeared in 2013 and got split in 2 teams. UD salamanca played some years on the first division. Currently Unionistas plays in the 3rd division of Spain against clubs as Deportivo la Coruña.

Please do Dover at some point. I think they'd make a fun challenge not necessarily to make them a big club (ie doesn't matter if the team doesn't even become League 2 as such) but to make them financially sustainable, enable them to become professional again and to prevent them going down in Season 1.
Story behind why they did what they did as well was pretty interesting. The owner refused to take on debts when government grants were replaced by loans during the pandemic, put staff including players on furlough and because of that were fined for failure to complete matches and handed a 12-point deduction for 21/22. I think this makes them a good candidate for a challenge where you don't take on any debt, transfer or otherwise, try to become pro again and see if you can get to VNL or higher within a few years.
And Dover is actually a place I have been IRL. Went there for a match when I worked for Bristol Rovers.

Os Belenenses actually kept the stadium not the SAD, and Os Belenenses have been promoted 4 times in a row
I know that I should know the answer to this question but I have to ask. How does one easily find free transfers?
I have tried many times and I have always found ppl that I would never in a thousand years sign.
I start searching on 1st January for contracts expiring in 6 months. Best way to do it I've found

I think more challenge rebuilds, like the Barca one you did a while back, would be cool. That way you never know how many seasons you get. For example the gloryhunter challenge or try to recreate the carrier achivements of a trainer like Wenger with his invicibles.

It’s not the in-game editor. It’s the Tato skin has a panel so you can see it
@@HoodGamingUK Yes, but i belive if u turn off use of in game editor in pre game screen (where u choose leagues, database etc.) u cannot see ability of players even wit h this skin.
