I have always made content throughout my professional career, however, it has always been for someone else. In May 2020 I decided that it was time to create something for myself. Football Manager has always been a game that I have loved so wanted to take this opportunity to share some of the tips and tricks that I've learnt!

@@SN-ig2ml I've already found this tactic with Thebuildupply. At the World Cup, they had not 1 but 2 tactics. 4-2-3-1 and 4-2-4
was there in person, crazy experience. met some proper good lads and had some great fun - only up from here
Did a test with Man Utd just for fun. Zero signings were made, I set up my usual training for the season, instructions for my staff to deal with things, set up a mentoring group for the youngsters and set up my set pieces. Came 2nd in the Prem, lost in the league cup to everton, won the FA Cup against Arsenal and won the Champions League against Real Madrid (5-2).
We didn't really lose many matches all the season, our main problem for the league was our drawing record of 10. Our other problem was the lack of a decent striker, with most our goals coming through Bruno Fernandes. I noticed in Hood Gaming's test with Everton that Calvert Lewin was smashing the goals in up front. For me Rasmus Hojlund only scored 14 goals in 29(7) appearances, however he did get some crucial goals in the late stages of the Champions League, including a hattrick against Bayern in the return leg after we lost the 1st leg of the Semi's.
Love other people testing things themselves. I’d say that’s a positive result myself, especially with United.
Next time I’d suggest altering the rest setting to “no pitch or gym work” for all of them except full health. I reckon you’d see an uptick in performance

@@HoodGamingUK Bit of a mixed result from doing that. In the league we were far better with the "no pitch or gym work". We won the league with 95 points, 101 goals and 29 conceded. I can't remember the exact numbers last time but it was 77 points and the Goal Difference was in the 40's.
However, we lost again the Quarters of the league cup to Brentford and we lost both FA Cup and Champions League finals to Newcastle United and PSG respectively.
Again Rasmus struggled with just 19 goals. Bruno was less effective, but the rest of the team did much better.
This tactic is absolutely insane 😂 I’m 3rd in the NL with Barnet, just beat L1 Fleetwood 8-1 in the FA Cup 😳

Nice to see I'm already using this tactic without knowing it. Comparing my tactics with this one, I only differ in one or two tweeks as complete fullbacks instead of attacking fb and balanced mentality instead of attacking. And the wingers no marking his defenders. wib wob tactics are the same. And obviously set pieces are different, but are working well anyways. thanks for the video.
Just trying this tactic 2 days ago and this is insane, at first i thought this kinda overkill with all the instruction but goddang, the midfield are as solid as brickwall.

@@HoodGamingUK Swansea (GYR will be happy!). It’s a long term save that was started in FM23 and carried over into FM24.
I’m now in 2033 and I think the only ‘real’ players left in my squad are James McAtee and Conor Bradley!

Words cant explain what is happening to my Barnsley team right now with this tactic
This is best tactic Ive used so far in fm24, only thing I adjusted was "work into box" otherwise I was wasting loads of chances, and take "get stuck in" against easier teams.

Scroll down and it’s under the voice note
@@rcrvld you must download the save file of the game from ichsan r. taufiq's participant page in the link. click on the bar that displays his name (not the name). go to season 2 or 3, under the voice note there is his save game. download the save game, load it and export the tactic. it's yours forever. it's seriously a cheat code.

It goes against popular wisdom of less instructions = better tactic. Here we have almost everything possible active 😅
But being more serious, this shape, roles and most of the instructions are known to be very good. I am using this shape and almost similar player roles from one pf GYR tactics you have presented on your channel and just got 5 promotions in a row with Scunthorpe and won three Fa Cup while being in the Championship. It means I have Europe in my very first season in the top flight in the club’s history. Cheers!

Who are you managing?
General advice would be to make sure all players are training their role for tactical familiarity and adjust your rest levels in the training tab

I've tweaked it a little to cautious play and sometimes time wasting, scraped a 1-0 against Arsenal at the emirates and turned Sevilla over 3-0 away.
I'm wondering : Is it even possible for a single tactic to be the best? How do you evaluate it? Isn't it dependent on the players you have and all sorts of things?
I was thinking the same but the match engine could favor some positions and instructions despite the players
@@chinyembamwale I have no doubt that the winning tactics used in the world cup are "good" on paper. But it worked because it was good for the players they had, didn't it? ;)
In theory, you’re right. There is a element of clickbait in the title but in my eyes, this is as good as you’re going to get by winning the Football Manager World Cup

I think that luck was an element to it but they were all doing the same thing. I’m sure I could put something together

@@HoodGamingUK well not too bad, half way through the first season, 1st place, by a point, lost a couple of easy matches but still pushing , I have a pretty young side to, as soon as I can get into the transfer market and get some experienced players it should improve hopefully , I’ll update you at the end of the season
It would be curious to see how this tactic would stack up against the fm arena tactics? Its pretty much the same as the fm arena tactic I use (3 instructions different)
This tactic is defo from fm arena, I remember knap making this a couple months ago and I was using it until he made it better lol. Would be interesting to find out if they did just copy knaps tactics if so that trophy belongs to him

@@HoodGamingUK Omg really? Cause I have massive problems with training my players, I tried many training schedules, so what do you think, is it worth to let my Assistant handle training or can you recommend me some schedules. Or a link for a video if you made something about training. THX
@Anka-y1c they didn’t assign anything. They literally didn’t touch it at all.
One thing I would adjust would be the rest within the “training” tab. The Indonesian team had all of the options set to “no pitch or gym work” except for the full green heart which was set to half intensity

using in tournament play off ? yes maybe, in marathon / league mode ? no, its risky tactics, too aggresive, prone to injury, yellow / red cards , make players more tired for next game
But they used this in the regular mode to qualify for the finals… they used it over 3 seasons and dominated…
Weird that the one winger has mark tighter but the other one doesn't. Mabye this was just an instruction specificly for the final?
Nah - this was taken from their first three days. They didn’t actually change anything from the initial competition to the final other than opposition instructions

in their recent podcast, they mentioned specifically that the german team has a wingback star player. the german plays three forward at the center, so they depend on the crossing supply from the wingback. what the indonesian team did was to limit the movement of the german team's wingback, so that the three forwards won't receive any ball. i think that's why they specifically instructed the inside forward to mark the wingback/fullback.

Does it take a good few games to work as tried it last night, wasn't doing bad but not one of better ones I've used
100%, especially if you’re changing it mid-season. Also make sure you’re getting your players to train the correct roles for tactical familiarity

My issue with these videos and the rebuild kind of videos is the going on holiday part, I lose interest when I know zero effort has been put in, plus testing a tactic when you’re simulating whole seasons isn’t really testing anything it’s just letting AI do its thing, shame really but I get it they want to bang these out asap to get views etc poor though in my opinion
So do you not think the Indonesian guys playing every game with the tactic for three whole seasons isn’t enough?
@@HoodGamingUK if they were the ones putting up a video on TH-cam then yes 3 seasons is more than enough but time and again I see rebuild videos and it’s just ‘go on holiday’ but as I said previously I get it, quantity is prioritised over quality so you guys can churn out as many videos as possible
@bennvenables1028 don’t get me wrong, I 100% see where you’re coming from.
However the way people play the game is changing. More people are just interested in “simulating”.
The match engine is the same regardless of playing/holiday. The only things you miss out on is the micromanagement of lineups and substitutes etc.
But I do get your perspective

You are right though. The way I see it, simulating gives you a baseline of if the tactic can be viable and you’d get even better results if you played the game.
As you could see with the success of all the teams in the FIFAe World Cup - some of those sides had crazy results

@@HoodGamingUKif you do look at fm arena you should see if gyr or yourself could make a tactic and upload it there, they literally simulate millions of matches to find the best tactic. I would love to see how high up gyr can get
