    To all aspiring creators: JUST DO IT! Post that video you think no one will like. Post that video you think could have been edited better. The first step is always the hardest. And really, as Millie said, you'll eventually find your "niche" the more you do content! Good luck

    I think the niche thing is not the route to go. The thing is to be true to yourself. Most of the time you can't box yourself into one niche as a creative person. It's limiting and may steal your energy. Instead, a niche should come NATURALLY. Not forced. All the gurus on IG say "you must pick a niche" but that is too simplified and misleading people. Regardless of platform. YOU are the niche as a person. The thing that works faster is to try different content/niches and find what works and what is closest to your nature. What will work long term is your natural competence. That may be a niche, yes, but everyone is not made to be a sales person with a niche. The gurus advice all assume people are like them, "sales people".

    • @takeranashae
      @takeranashae ปีที่แล้ว +15

      I agree, this is something I’ve struggled with but Tiktok isn’t like IG. It’s more authentic and gives more insight of the person. However, you can still niche down if you want. I’d niches down on an intro, a style of recording or something significant to you but not necessarily the content itself you’re providing.

    • @shapesque
      @shapesque ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@takeranashae yes! Natural ”niche” after your style is good. But I feel you don’t HAVE to box yourself into talking about one small area of topic over and over.

    • @taxigirl5637
      @taxigirl5637 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Sure but regardless you won’t grow as fast as if you stick to one. It’s more important to have content that makes you happy though, even if there’s less followers. They’ll be higher quality. Lucky for me I have one main passion

      I focus on a very big niche and I do that also with my clients. By saying that in few words we focus on a problem to solve and after we break it down to specific people. Example: I am a accredited licensed Mindset & Business Coach I will not say “my niche are entrepreneur women in the beauty industry that are stressing out and want to grow their business but build the right mindset” I will first ask myself; which industry language do I speak ( every industry has they own language) I speak business development. 2 what problem I am solving? I help overcome limitations, fear, stress, analysing their business, deal with numbers, how to handle problems, finding solutions etc… so base on that I created different avatars that I would say after in my different marketing strategy. I help entrepreneur women that are struggling with numbers to get their own business back on track. This will relate with a lot of women. And base on each problem that I solve will be an avatar in the business industry ( remember I am known the business language) … if you need help I reach out I am very happy to give you a hand for free. Without and obligation. Hope this is helping you.

    Points mentioned in this video:
    1. Spend 30 minutes a day, studying the platform instead of mindlessly scrolling.
    2. Prepare your profile before you start posting.
    3. Pick a niche.
    4. Figure out what type of content you’d like to post.
    5. Use relevant hashtags.
    6. Create valuable content, that is entertaining, educational or relatable.

    There's a reason why picking a niche is important! For me, I'm in Mom Mental Wellness as a Mom who holistically started healing herself from Postpartum Depression.. Now, this can can be broken down in to even more subcategories because I do agree... I am someone who enjoys more passions than just one but they all fit in to the Mental Wellness category ❤

    It's midnight somewhere in UK now and an Italian man in his 50s with a pen and a notebook is taking notes of every relevant points you make in this video. I can truly see the way you promote your business, the important knowledge behind every words you say and most of all the person behind the creator that inspired me to get into the Social world train despite my age and all the people that are telling me that paycheck to paycheck is easier.
    Thank you for inspiring me to be different, truly myself.

    Millie, I wanted to thank you for continuing to produce some of the best (and at times funniest) content out there. As someone that is trying to do what you do it is all extremely encouraging. I am actually commenting in particular on this video for one comment that you made, that you use your computer to do a lot of your research and editing and creation. I am a bit older than you (ok a bunch older) and I feel much more comfortable working on my computer especially editing and creating but I have felt for a long time like I might not relate to all generations if I am not using my phone for all of this... So THANK YOU for giving me some hope and confidence.

    LOVE all your videos, but the “WHO is what you need to focus on, not the what” in the niche aspect. SO GOOD 🙌🏼. I am an influencer and content creator getting into UGC more too but also have too many on my page! Mom life, lifestyle/DITL, wellness/revels, amazon favs, but then I also kinda wanna add in IG/creator tips etc because it’s something I’m super interested & knowledgable in and would like to monetize that in an aspect of digital products, or coaching too! But can’t choose which one and the creator/business type tips don’t go in with the mom/wellness/lifestyle stuff. Especially bc I would actually love to get onto TH-cam but not sure what! Like could I do all my influencer/creator with life/wellness etc with the WHO in life, but in YT share the HOW I do that?? My mind is all over the place😅

    Thanks for the vid. The two videos you recommend on this are not linked right? I try to click on the screen to watch them but it’s doing anything and I couldn’t find them on the description either. I think having them clickable and in the comments would make it easier and better for the audience. I even forgot what was the first vid recommendation about 🙈

    I love the way you talk, easy to listen to and without repeating everyone else, subscribed. And it's cute how you change your voice to separate your talk with examples , I do that too sometimes haha. Love the matching outfit+MU+nails+brand colours as well 💮🌞

    Hi Millie - I prefer using my laptop to record too. Question: How do you create a video on Canva with text on each frame? I started out with one template block of about 5 minutes. Then typed in my text for that frame. Then I kept duplicating the previous frame ( to keep the same pretty watercolour background) and just changed the text in each subsequent frame-
    When text all done, I returned to the beginning and recorded, reading each frame as I went. Lastly I shortened the seconds of each frame to align with the talking.
    Problem was, after I downloaded it as an MP4, there was a really bad echo of each word I spoke.
    Any insights or a better way of recording off the TikTok app (preferably on Canva) with text on each frame.

    Hi, can you pls make a must have apps/websites for content creators that are gonna save them a lot of time? I make vlog-type videos and it usually takes a lot of time for everything, video editing, sending e-mails to brands (somehow it does take a lot of time) and everything else.
