I love you guys. You always make me smile. To deal with my cancer I even watch all of your old videos. Thank you my friends. Here from Pennsylvania. I love Kate too❤️
Wow Arne, you are such a skilled artist! I am totally in awe how you are making those arms of that jacket longer, incuding finding the right yarn and using the same complicated pattern. So much work is going into this that people don't even see. It is wonderful that you can do that!
I have knit your hat pattern like this one a few times and is one of my favourites. It is always a joy to see your projects that you are working on. I never heard the "hand in your slippers" one before and like it better. Arne your jeans that you are adding the fabric to are just amazing. The talent you both have is above and beyond!
❤ What a beautiful sunday visit! You two are handsome in those shirts - Carlos, pink 🩷 is definitely your color! The olive green on that jacket is scrumptious! You have inspired me to set my Spring 🪻table with my mother’s pink Depression glass cookie jar and green cups and saucers - with a lovely texture of simple squares - she was so Modern! Arne, that doll’s dress with the birds is exquisite. Love to watch you both as the wheels turn to discover new ideas and directions for a project. Will send you all my embroideries, etc. when I turn in my slippers! ❤ THANK YOU!!!
Eeeekkkkk!!! How exciting that you are planning to come to South Africa next year!! Lovely to see your admiration for our South African ShweShwe fabric - it's a favourite locally too!
Carlos, I share your passion for coloured glass. Coincidentally, just prior to your podcast viewing today, I moved the pieces I have into the windows from a shelf. We've had so little sun this winter in Quebec, it inspired to move them around to enjoy to colours. We had a snow storm recently and hopefully it is the last of the season. This sun is to stay all week and is very welcome. Thanks for the fun podcast today.
I love the pants with the gorgeous fabric. Omg the mini sewing machine. I learned to sew on a machine like that with a foot pedal. I still have it. It was my grandmothers.
What treasure you got and.....you aren't even pirates! 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️. Everything looks so special. How lucky you were to match the yarn on the sleeves! Amazing!
Thanks for a great show guys. You could use the excess white cotton to make a patchwork quilt back for the embroidery quilt. I think that would look rather good.
Arne and Carlos, hello! It’s been awhile since I’ve been able to join you. I caught a glimpse from time to time of the cruise with Kate. I love the red that Arne is doing from his found fabrics. The knitting is so so beautiful; your color work patterns. I love color work but I do struggle trying to manipulate the yarns. Have a wonderful weekend and Easter season😊
The upcycled sweater is beautiful Arne. Looking forward to the episode with how you complete it. Christmas fabric? Yes please!! Barbie and her magic wand…hahaha!
'Handing in your slippers' is an amazing image. Dead lady left you a lovely project to finish! Haha, Barbie stuff, great score! There is something very nice about album covers and the inside treats too. Happy Easter!!
Coincidentally, I worked on my moth mitts while listening today. Some friends who are total bug geeks have fantastic collections of real bugs (mostly lepidoptera) that I am sure would impress you - similar to your blue butterfly. They seem to be skilled scientists' contributions to the art world - there is an artist in each of us. That cross stitch project you found and salvaged is amazing!
Happy Palm Sunday ! It’s so goood to have your company ! Feeling a bit ‘down’ with unrelenting cold and wind and rain in NJ USA. You guys are a welcome comfort with my pot of tea with my A & C mug!!!!!! I’m really sorry about those God awful headaches causing you to pause your activities on the cruise. EPP is wonderful but can have challenges due to the intricacy w/o proper lighting! The fabrics are utterly gorgeous! Love the hat Carlos. The newly knitted sleeve is beautiful ! Well done. Blessings on your mom and dad , Carlos.hope your mom is “ holding her own”. ❤xx Marilyn
The tapestry is a wonderful find. As well as kicking the bucket, we also pop our clogs. Still catching up with your past videos and am currently enjoying your tour of Setesdal.
those birds would look lovely put into a quilt, patchwork with accenting colours would be a shame not to, i think can't wait to see Arne work his magic with all the beautiful handkerchiefs always great watching & listening to you both thanx for sharing
Wonderful episode. I can watch you both all day. I watched and crocheted some red roses for my mom and gave her a beautiful bouquet. Enjoy your Easter break!
Hi thank you for an interesting video. I was so happy to see the South African fabric. Being South African, I know and love this fabric and grew up with it. Thirty years ago I had dresses made in this fabric. I just want to warn you that the fabric shrinks and the colour also washes out. The more you wash it, the softer it becomes. Our indigenous people call it Shwe-shwe and many use it in wonderful outfits for many important ocations. I think you get other colours . A website called African mamma has these fabrics. Love them.
PS it's obvious😮 that I need to visit Norway just to visit the well stocked thrift stores 😊 after enjoying a cruise. Your treasured stash is to die for. Can't wait to see the finished Christmas quilt. 🎉
Hi guys, our Aurora app is going through the roof right now. So glad we saw the northern lights with you all on the trip. We had the best time. Our daughter is almost halfway through the sweater inspired by Arne's jacket already ;-) love from the Netherlands.
Really enjoy listening to you whist I knit or sew and even when I'm eating lunch before heading off to work. Would you be able to do a video showing how you took apart the horse shift and insert the new panels, I have 2 shirts that shrunk in the cupboard that I would really like to add some contrast panels. Thank you for keeping me company most days 💕👍
The embroidery is fantastic, especially of the quails. My grandmother and mother's generation had all of these types of you name it on the furrniture, the dressers, the end tables. It was everywhere in the house. It even appeared on clothing. But you guys know this! Happy Spring! My husband and I used to collect butterflies in the early 1970s. He mounted them on Ryker mounts like you have.
Nice to see you both back after your cruise. Like to see all your crafting and shopping ! Two very talented boys. Love your saying about slippers it's sounds much better than kicking the bucket !! Sian from Wrexham 😊
Love finding out what you have been up to 😊 I’m happy because I found your Knitted birds book at the library and was super excited to see you have a series of bird of paradise designs in the book THEN I found a whole bag full of sequins in different sizes and shapes when I was “cleaning” and instantly knew I will be using them on the bird of paradise birds. Also have been gathering fabrics for EPP quilt making. Thanks for sharing your beautiful fabrics. And yes - keep Barbie in the box!
Hi!! Happy Sunday and SAKFAB!! And Happy Palm Sunday! Carlos, I am sorry to hear of your migraines but glad you found something to enjoy. Arne, your colors are beautifully synced to the cardigan with the extended sleeve!! Brilliant!
Catching up on this a few days late. So many beautiful and fun things to look at. What joy! I watched while finishing a sweater. Thanks for the inspiration ❤
Sunday blessings! Today's SAKFAB was so much fun. I love seeing all the treasures you find when you're off on an adventure! Glad you had such a great time. Looking forward to seeing your beautiful garden coming back to life. Have a wonderful week. Hugs! ❤️🤗😘
I would love it if you would once again give a Norwegian Knit and a Norwegian purl way of knitting tutorial ...slowly... also Arne your sashiko jeans are fabulous
Happy Sunday! Thank you for another entertaining and enjoyable podcast! Carlos, sorry you suffered from migraines on the cruise. May you both be blessed with a holy and happy Easter!
Thanks for this fun episode and sharing all the beautiful items and miniatures you were given. I love that you are so into thrift store adventures as i am too. You manage to find some exciting things at the stores that you visit. I have 2 bags of crocheted & tatted doilies and finally turned an embroided circular linen one into a pocket on a black skirt. It worked really well.
Oh your new shirt Carlos? It's beautiful - perfect for the easter holiday weekend coming~ And Arne your haircut in the latest "waiting for carlos to clean the kitchen" is lovely - xo xo
Love your sweater sleeve your lengthening! Wish my Mom and Granny were still alive … they raised us to reuse, recycle and remake! Learned how to do so many things from them! You are both amazing! My husband calls you my boyfriends when I’m watching your videos! Told him he needs to get some crafting skills for more attention! ❤️
Hi guys 😊 I'm so excited that you e renewed the pair of jeans using the beautiful South African shwe-shwe. Truly unique fabric. Arne, re knitting g the sleeve of the gorgeous jacket is just so cool. You're so talented. I wish I could just pick up a tricky pattern and just knit it like you do.
I already do a lot of what you recommend for knitting/crocheting on flights. I usually have smaller, portable projects but if I were working on a larger knit project, I would definitely put in a life line before flying
Those pants really turned out great using the Three Cats African fabric. The latest quilt I made using some of those fabrics which I had been saving for something special.
The great thing about teaching….is that the “teacher” often learns new things also! When I taught beginning computer classes, if a student would ask a question that I didn’t know the answer to, I would confess my ignorance, and go research the answer. Never stop learning & growing! 😊
I also rescue unfinished projects and finish them. I am finishing a piece of knitting that I can finish and make as a baby blanket that I line with soft flannel or silk. It's an unusual sort of white yarn that I couldn't match so when I use the last of the second ball. That will be the size.
Enjoyed this episode as Ana always while knitting a baby bootie. Love your travels, your purchases, your excitement over pink vinyl and your sharing of gifts. If at some time when revisiting things - I would love for you to share your secret of knitting socks on double pointed needles without getting those dreadful ladders!
"Trail" is my favourite in the Rowan Book! I'm currently knitting it and almost have the back done. I have never knit a sweater in pieces like this before ( only ever done top-down in the round) so I'm a little nervous about how to piece it together. Maybe you have a tutorial on sweater construction? Thanks for doing these videos.... they make my day 😊
When you do come to South Africa it would be a great pleasure to meet you, I really enjoy your podcasts, and I'm learning to knit from your tutorials. I tell everybody I meet at the local yarn store to check out your patterns on Rowan and your own website as well.
Loved the fabric on the jeans and all your travel stories , i loved my barbie must have been in the sixties, my dad made her a wardrobe for her clothes, he was a taylor .
I was going through my unfinished projects my PhD. Lol! And discovered I have 20+. Mostly, knit and crochet. My goal this year is to get as many done as possible. I don't want to " turn in my slippers" until my projects are finished. I don't want to be the dead lady who leaves all her Ufo's behind. Lol! Love you both ❤
Hi guys. Great to see you today I loved all the quilt patches and the tatted butterflies I just finished some tatted Christmas bulb covers so enjoyed today thanks take care see you soon
I use my handkerchiefs all the time. I love the crocheted edges - similar finishes like the ones you showed. The fabric on the jeans reminds me of Japanese indigo fabrics. Cool.
Hello I saw you with Kate at the last homely house. I live in North Wales in the UK. (But like kate I was born in Liverpool). I am like Carlos I buy part stitched projects & complete them. Knitting is my nightmare craft, I know how but get fed up easily, unless i am knitting teddy bear clothes I do love to crochet though. My main hobby is sewing children's clothes with matching dolls clothes. I also love English paper piecing.😊 Suzie xx
In my own life, I had a notorious unfinished Smurf rug that I purchased in a kit from a charity shop in my neighborhood. It must have taken ten years to do because I ran out of yarn from the kit. It ended up as a special mat for a son of a coworker. He would sit on it to watch television. I have a picture. He must be a father himself by now.
Arne… You are the most talented knitter I have ever seen. It’s amazing you can extend the sleeve of a sweater. It’s absolutely beautiful!
I love you guys. You always make me smile. To deal with my cancer I even watch all of your old videos. Thank you my friends. Here from Pennsylvania. I love Kate too❤️
I love the saying "hand in your slippers" much nicer than "kick the bucket". Love you both.❤
In Germany we throw the towel 😂
Wow Arne, you are such a skilled artist! I am totally in awe how you are making those arms of that jacket longer, incuding finding the right yarn and using the same complicated pattern. So much work is going into this that people don't even see. It is wonderful that you can do that!
The new knitted sleeve is super beautiful with its pop of red.
Thank you!
Oh my goodness, I would have so much fun thrifting around town with you both.
My grandmother taught me to be a shopper like Arne!
🤩😂
I have knit your hat pattern like this one a few times and is one of my favourites. It is always a joy to see your projects that you are working on. I never heard the "hand in your slippers" one before and like it better. Arne your jeans that you are adding the fabric to are just amazing. The talent you both have is above and beyond!
Oh yes - the jeans are fantastic
Arne is like a kid on Christmas morning going through the fabric….love it
Lovely to see you both again xx
The SA fabric is called shwe shwe produced by Da Gama. It is amazing cotton. They have wonderful colours and patterns.
My favourite fabric!

Your 'shenanigans' are always enjoyable. Can't wait to see the new GIANT extension.
Arne & Carlos- you should come to India. The colourful fabrics and dyeing techniques we have will blow you away. Love your show❤
Happy Easter, you guys. What a wonderful episode, full of magic and cheer. Thank you thank you.
That really lacy handkerchief could be used for curtains in one of the doll houses. Wouldn't that be beautiful? 😊
What a great idea!!
The gift bowl that has texture would be a great hat or sweater motif!
What a fun episode - love watching you guys ! It would be great if you could make a video about color knitting flat.
Saw you at Oslo Airport on Thursday morning. You strolled past me & my daughter after passport control. I thought about saying hello but was too shy.
I would have been too shy also! But in my mind I would have been squealing ARNE & CARLOS with a big grin on my face. Lucky you
I can appreciate that! But you saw them! Very cool!
I would have loved that
Those hankies were small gifts to give my mom when I was a child. I used to buy at the dime store that I could walk to. Such good memories.❤

You twoare making me spend money, I ordered your Xmas bouble knitting book & now I have ordered dolly Parton behind the seams book, it's amazing.
Oooh I love these Sit and Knit for a bit on Sunday! I look forward to each video you put up Arne and Carlos! Love from Australia 💕
The upcycled sweater is beautiful Arne. Looking forward to the episode with how you complete it. Christmas fabric? Yes please!! Barbie and her magic wand…hahaha!
I’m excited for your new videos! I’ve looked at many and you have a wealth of knowledge and so fun to watch. Thank you!!
Always fun to see all your new Treasures
I was surprised by the pink vinyl! Nice array of Barbie swag. I feel she needs some outfits made of those vintage linens.
Love love love the South African Shwe Shwe fabric. I have far too much of it, but I can’t resist it.
Loved shopping in Japan. Bought beautiful hand painted kimono fabric and a lovely blue and white tea set
'Handing in your slippers' is an amazing image. Dead lady left you a lovely project to finish! Haha, Barbie stuff, great score! There is something very nice about album covers and the inside treats too. Happy Easter!!
Hi Arne and Carlos! Those South African fabrics are called Shweshwe. They are lovely and have a very particular smell!

Love the pink Barbie album!
I just love your new quilting direction you are very excited about.

Those pants really turned out great using the Three Cats African fabric. The latest quilt I made using some of those fabrics which I had been saving for something special.
Carlos, WHAT a gorgeous shirt. It looks like it was tailor-made for you, and the colors!
I’m going to Japan and love sashiko and temari. Looking forward to browsing for some threads and fabrics.

Love watching you two, LOVE hiw you both are so creative!!
That’s a fab job Arne.
I like the colours on the lusekofte.from the thrift store.
Have you thought of giving tours to your home? We are all so jealous.
"Hand your slippers in "😂OR
"Pushing up the daisies"
Great catch up episode ❤
"Trail" is my favourite in the Rowan Book! I'm currently knitting it and almost have the back done. I have never knit a sweater in pieces like this before ( only ever done top-down in the round) so I'm a little nervous about how to piece it together. The drop dead project would be beautiful as a cushion with a soft brown leather backing.
When you do come to South Africa it would be a great pleasure to meet you, I really enjoy your podcasts, and I'm learning to knit from your tutorials. I tell everybody I meet at the local yarn store to check out your patterns on Rowan and your own website as well.
😍
I love the cross stitch design!! You should make Carlos a pillow LMBO!
Hi guys. Great to see you today I loved all the quilt patches and the tatted butterflies I just finished some tatted Christmas bulb covers so enjoyed today thanks take care see you soon
I think your pillow is done with the Arraiolos stitch. Which is a traditional way of making rugs in Portugal.
I use my handkerchiefs all the time. I love the crocheted edges - similar finishes like the ones you showed. The fabric on the jeans reminds me of Japanese indigo fabrics. Cool.

You are both so talented, love this channel
Thank you so much❤️
