    Folks, check Sung Chang's interpretation at the 2019 Pre-elimimary Round in Norway. I'm having the assumption that its the same person thats playing here. If you pay attention to details, articulation, dynamics and hand movements you should see and hear a lot of similarities. The fact that this pianist studied in germany and obviously speaks Korean matches into the big picture ;)

    • @PianoSpeaks

      I agree!!

    • @user-jq1rt8mk6h
      @user-jq1rt8mk6h 3 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      I assume Traum is Yekwon Sunwoo. Compare clair de lune of two pianists. They have exactly same details about voicing, and the manner of how their performances are different from actual sheet.(Especially, chech after low Eflat octave). Sunwoo also studied in Germany, and of course speaks Korean. Traum’s every mozarts are included in Sunwoo’s recent mozart elbum. Sunwoo’s favorite composer is Schuber according to his interview, and Traum played 15 Schuberts, which is extremely big number. Traum took rest for more than a week, while Sunwoo did his first concert after Covid-19. I think my assumption makes sense.

      @@PianoSpeaks Yes, acutally i am confused because it seems there is also quite big agreement of repatoties of two pianists. But personally, I still feel the style of two is different. Traum has faster tempo for allegro and slower tempo for adagio with rich pedal and rubato, while sung has calm and seriois tempo and attitude. In fact, schero no 1 and warum of sung is very different.

    The end of this work is a composition in itself and is so beautifully conceived and executed - like Chopin could not possibly have improved on it - would love to know when this was first played in the United States. Speaking of the latter, how many people know Chopin’s first cousin came to the U S and was a union general in the civil war.
