The birds will love the fountain too! (I suggested to a a gardener who has a birdbath to add cayenne pepper to her birdseed feeder, and she is loving the birds that visit every day to eat and drink and bathe.) Just love Monica's garden design!

@@jerriecook6908 Cayenne pepper keeps the squirrels from "stealing" the birdseed. Squirrels cannot bear hot pepper of any kind but birds are not bothered by it. My friend is overjoyed to see happy birds visiting her garden, and repelling squirrels at the same time is an extra bonus!

This space is coming along so beautifully! It's great to see what can be done in smaller yards and how many usable areas there are. I had talked to Monica while at Andrew's about her space, and she was so excited to see it come together, and I told her I was just excited for her as well and to see the final result. Can’t tell you how much I can relate to this video! My husband and I built our home on 1 acre of cleared farm land, a soy bean field, 33 years ago. At the first party we had, someone asked who was supposed to bring the shade? Just this week, I have been working on a DIY slate and gravel patio with a fire pit near our back deck. Although we do have mature trees now, they are mostly on the perimeter of the yard. My husband set up the 12x12 pop up tent to give me shade, too. 😜
Oooh 3 espaliered fruit trees along the fence would be beautiful & provide abundance 🥰 My entire back yard is about the size of this corner & this is giving me so much inspiration!!!
Thank you for sharing this small space garden. It is SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I wonder if you would do an episode with Nick to show us how he built that trellis? One thing I want to thank you for is showing that you and your sister were able to build these beds on your own. That gave me great encouragement! It turned out beautifully!!

Love the look of Monica's raised beds. I love the way you handled the weed barrier inside the beds. Deep rooting and extra protection for the interior of the wood.

If Monica wants to keep the copper caps the copper color, she will need to paint them with polyurathane. We found this out with the top of our new mailbox post. It tarnished fairly quickly, so we replaced it and sprayed it with poly. Voila! It is still the copper color. BTW... Monica's new raised beds are gorgeous!! Great job ladies.

I love Monica’s style and have always enjoyed seeing her favorites in unpacking and antiquing videos because i always think, “me too!” Seeing how her garden is coming together is the same feeling.

With the size of the garden there is no need to wheel a cart through all of the beds.
You never know when you may need a cart, so having the ability to use one when needed... is important.
