    I just bought the Jabra talk 65 after nearly 10years with the Poly 5200 and the Poly mic is way better than the cheap walkie talkie mic sound you get from the Jabra talk 65
    There needs to be an in between in the two products. If only Poly would modernize the Voyager 5200 i would go back

    The gardener just showed up outside my house with blower and weed wackers and I cannot hear a thing that my caller is saying in the ear piece because the Jabra talk 65 does not get loud enough to drown out noises which are outside of my home when I am on a call inside - I am probably going to return it today and go back to the Poly Voyager 5200 - disappointed - the Jabra talk 65 is like a toy its not a serious product

  • @danthedriver44

    Great video but I really wish he did a media test. I currently use the now discontinued Talk 30/Style and love the fact that I can listen to music in stereo in one ear. Jabra confirmed to me that the 65 also does this. And while no you won't get Beats quality out of it, my Talk 30 plays music pretty good while leaving me with a free ear to hear the world with.

    Does this headset support mic muting for those long meetings, and how does a user mute the mic? I noticed that missing in the video, wasn’t sure if it’s just not part of the headset.

      I had to stop using the 5200 as it was almost impossible to conduct a call with any background noise. This jabra may do the trick

    • @bladefisti
      @bladefisti 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The background noise reduction on this headset is better than voyager 5200. I have both plantronic voyager 5200 and jabra talk 65.
      So while the jabra talk 65 is better to reduce background noise, the max volume on my end is lower than voyager 5200, meaning the other person I am talking to can hear me more clearly with less noise, while they have to scream in order for me to hear them (while I am working in noisy environment)
      About voyager 5200 haven’t made an update for ages, then so far, jabra talk 65 DONT have an app connected to it, meaning so far you can’t update firmware.
      I work in very noisy environment, so right now, I am still using voyager 5200. This way can at least can have a conversation. I have a ticket open to jabra about this issue, they have been very helpful, but can’t reproduce the problem. Oh and before you guys think it’s a problem on my headset, then I have 2 jabra talk 65, both have low max volume compared to voyager 5200.

    Spec-wise, this piece is great. However, it would not fit my ear well. I understand it is not "in ear", but as is the volume is so soft and I hear a lot of background noise. I addressed this by FLIPPING the gel (smaller side out). I don't understand why the standard fitting of the gel is tapering out (larger side out). Considering the anatomy of an ear canal, they should have flipped the taper like most earbuds.

    How's volume level speaker is producing? I hv checked some other review online that speaker volume is very low compared to Talk 45.

    • @WojciechHeczko
      @WojciechHeczko 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe this issue is caused by the design flaw, namely the mismatch of the eargel position and the ear canal it's supposed to fit
      I have never been able to align them properly
      hence, I solved the problem by removing the eargel piece completely
      now, the loudspeaker is not obstructed by anything and I can hear everything much better, i.e. clearer and louder
