Go and track down a copy of "Squid Yes, Not So octopus" aka SYNSO, it's from 2009, an indie space shooter where you are an alien invader fighting squid that flies through space and killing waves of spawned enemies. It's awesome. Nova Drift just feels slow and forgiving. Also, SYNSO is an epileptic nightmare (just turn the lights off at night and play in the dark I dare you!). Well worth your time. Not sure if you have to pay for it, I didn't have to when it was first out. There is a sequel called "SYNSO 2 Squid Harder" which is much more refined but different enough that it's also worth the time. :)
@@armoredotter2183 Yeah just cracked my folder with it inside (not a steam game, should have mentioned) SYNSO doesn't agree with my gaming laptop, has a lot of lined interference across the cscreen, but SYNSO 2 Squid Harder, that runs like a charm, awesome soundtrack too, simple start screen to select gameplay mode: world 1 to 4 survive for 1 minute 2 minutes 3 minutes and 4 minutes respectively. You die, you start again. Here's a decent gameplay vid of world 1 (epilepsy warning though): th-cam.com/video/D0yrQAsPD20/w-d-xo.html Google search this: Squid Yes, Not So Octopus 2: Squid Harder download then finds a site you trust and download it for free. P.S. I am slowly acquiring the gear for the sky fragment christmas themed grim dawn build. It does make selling greens a whole lot slower haha.
