I'm trying a build with the dagalon set but have yet to find the set, only have the chest. I think I have the legendaries for this one but not the weapon. I may try it since the dagalon version with dual wield is fun but super squishy.

Just managed to beat him, and thought that was impossible at first because he kept regenerating (I also have a meele character, nightblade/inquisitor combo). Bought some poison (slithbone tincture, from devils crossing) to deal extra damage. You have to deal a lot of damage, be agresssive (hurry when one of them is almost out of hp), but dodge the breath attacks. Maybe that can help someone beat him. Edit: the most important advice is actually run around and dont let him stay in blood puddles, or he regenerates to a point where you can never kill him. Attack as often as you can without breaking that rule. Took a while and needed some help to fully understand this boss

Great campaign and players. I listened the whole campaign through Spotify. Afterwards I tried to look for more content, but it's seems it ended here. How unfortunate... 😅

I beat him twice in a day now, at lvl 86 and 88. First found him somewhere in Gloomwald or Ugdenbog, then Ancient Grove. Battlemage build with mostly Soldier skills. Wasn't a problem at all.

2 Years later and the full release of D4, 1.0 of Last Epoch and the upcoming POE2 this video is still relevant. Though you're not going to convince many of the try hards who assume you want a different genre when you express that all these games share too much in common and are just different shades of grey of the same formula and even aesthetics. It seems to me that the fanbase is very keen on reliving that nostalgia from the original Diablo games from now until the end of time. Which is fine I guess but when the market is flooded with these look alikes surely there is a developer out there with a bit more nuanced take on what this genre could look like. It's also quite odd that they go out of their way to defend that players are meant to get bored of playing within a week and move on until the new version comes out, where they disappear in less than a week again.

I enjoy Grim Dawn's world more than I enjoy Elder Scrolls.

This video goes well with either a comment from Scarface or Tobey Mcguire. Scarface: All I have in this world is my Grim Dawn and my Job and I don't break em for no one. If someone insults you about playing too much Grim Dawn, tell them, "I'm gonna put some dirt in your eye." That background was relaxing as well.

-Loot Gambling Gambling means random loot. If you don't have random loot you have deterministic loot. We have had that in ARPGs since the 80s. We have played SNES games were you run around killing monsters to collect gold to buy a steel sword to replace your iron sword. -Bad Character You can have aspects of the character respecable or not respecable. To the exstent it is respable it stops becoming about picking a thing to "define your character" and becomes about choosing the right thing for the right situation, like switching guns in an FPS. So if you are advocating for total free respecs that kills what attracted you to the game. If you a re advocating for some respec we already have that. Every single diablo game has the ability to refund things on your character to varying degrees including Diablo 2 with the newer patches. So if you are saying you wanted limited respecs to experiment we have that, we have had it for a long time. Your video is terrible. You spend most of your time just being purposely awkward, weird, and self-deprecating. We know it's phony and it makes your points shallow since you spend your time being a clown instead of expanding upon them. With what you have communicated your arguments do not support themselves, it just sounds like you are confused as I communicated in my refutations of your points. The title of the video is not even your general point. You spend most of the video just talking about diablo 2 and only the last few minutes talking about how other ARPG are like it, by talking about how common grim dawk is. That is the only point you had which seemed coherent. Your entire thinking process is sloppy.

Hello, I got a question. Your grimtools build says the BiS leggings are the Mythical wendigomane but before getting those I already got the Mythical boneweave which give more and better skills imho and have better proc ability. Am I missing something crucial or something? Because to me it seems the boneweave is better is it not?

What should I put into inquisitor while leveling? Is there some way to see the base stats of your skills before they are increased by items?

Hate games where built is based on items and being lucky to get them rather than having decent game that has good mechanics and items to enhance it.

man i was just looking for some class combo info but this is easily the best class overview guide i've seen as well. really impressed with all of your stuff that I've seen. ps: i dont normally look to offer suggestions but your videos are awesome and if i could contribute i'd love to-- flashing or showing the tooltips for the abilities that you are describing during the talent trees would be an excellent addition -- not sure how much extra work that is for you, i just had another tab going to look and read them but can be helpful. i know this is older content but wish you the best. solid channel. cheers

I killed him a lot with my melee infiltrator (nightblade + inquisitor), mostly tanking him, you simply do not heal fast enough :P Note: Lifesteal and decent damage is very important to survive.

when i tried occultist, i felt like the eye skill was far stronger, just put a level into it, rush to unlock the aoe, max it, and then go for the blood for heal and extra damage. that pretty easily killed most stuff, including bosses. i even put a point into the minions to draw agro, but that was kinda useless as the bosses always bee lined for me no matter how much i tried kiting, so i just let them do extra dmg, while i focused on throwing eyeballs into them. cant say how powerfull they are late game, but was doing much more damage than when i tried to respec and skill for pox at lvl 30(not due to need, but to wanting to try something diferent). had to respec again and go back to eye as it was simpler and easier to play.

Thank you for the grate guide! But i would also add Health Regeneration. Its a night and day difference when you don't have it explicitly (e.g. you get from stats around 100-150 hp/s) and if you have some investment which makes 500+ hp/s. You effectively mitigate many dots and stand in most pools (acid, fire etc.) as you don't feel it by your Health bar. At least that's my experience :)

I went Nightblade + Occultist, and for a replay of the game it was decent (at least the first 15 levels).

Thanks for the helpful and concise video. I'm playing a melee blademaster and felt like I was doing well till I got to big bosses and couldn't figure out how to stop dying. Looks like my stun resist is too low. No idea how to fix it but it's good to know the problem.

I personally think Diablo 2 sucks balls tried playing as a wizard gave up on the staff mana issues so my wizard ended up using a bow and arrow and a sword 🤨 the map is terrible doesn’t show where to go and the inventory and chest doesn’t hold shit what an overrated pos this game is payed $5 and feel massively ripped off Diablo 3 completely blows 2 away NO COMPARISON

Is this better than dual pistol build? I'm new halfway through elite wondering if I should play 2h or dual

I hated this game when I first played it, but this evening it really clicked for me whilst going from a night blade/shaman to a shaman oathkeeper, I’ve maxed out savagery on veteran and I’m melting everything it’s awesome fun!

I've always preferred Diablo 1 over the 2nd. Most of the criticisms for D1, I find to be actual strengths for it and they're missing from D2. The slower paced combat is a preference on my part. D1 is really a dungeon crawler at heart. Running headfirst into a horde of enemies in D1 often is a quick death. D2 is fast paced and was designed to be played online more. The singleplayer to D2 is a real grindfest and I get bored with it after act 2. The skill tree is something I can live without. In D1 you had a spell book and it was completely random what spells you ended up with. You could reset the game and grind to get the spells you wanted, but that took away the challenge. Every game now has a skill tree like D2 and it has taken that randomness out of having to finish a game relying on a handful of spells (Firewall, Stone Curse and Lightning are the best 3 spells in D1). D2 took what was simple in the first game and overcomplicated it IMO.

i’m currently on my first game, i’m like level 22 and have done demolition isn’t with all of my points into the auto attack ability, it’s pretty fun so far
