Hey something to keep in mind is that the carpet wrapping on the compartments provided some deflection from rain and waves splashing not allowing water to get into the storage (Thats why you have those big gaps around the storage lids now). You might want to look at a rubber seal for the bottom/inside once you get your hatch handles so they seal up nice a tight and help keep water out. Otherwise it look good man!
All of the compartments have rubber seals around the lips, i just had them removed in this video for the application of the raptor liner. Thanks for watching!
Looks great. I have a fiberglass center console bay boat and carpet is starting to come up so I’m wanting to do this. Where did you get it with the paint color? I could like this but with a couple shades lighter gray!! Looks awesome man!!
Thanks! I love the look of that gold Xpress, I’ve always liked that color. Tell your dad I enjoyed talking to him. I’m sure we’ll see you guys around at some other tournaments in the future.
Hiw is the liner on your bare feet now that its hot? Also man i have almost the same boat but with a 2001 200 optimax. Cant get it over 50mph. I am running a quicksilver trophy 4 blade 25 pitch. Any ideas on how i can get this thing faster. You were moving pretty good on that one videos
The raptor will get hot after being in the sun a while, however, it’s no worse than the thin dark grey carpet i had before. You definitely have something wrong going on with your boat if it’s only running 50 mph. DM me on instagram @sethleefishing and I’ll see if I can help
The finished product looks great. I am looking to do something similar. What made you decide on Raptor Liner as opposed to a rubberized paint. I have been thinking of using Tuffcoat
It wasn’t that bad, I never slipped at all while I had the boat. I could see where it may become in issue in the rain but I never had a problem with it. If I could go back and do it again I would probably buy the texture packs to add into the raptor liner to make it have a more “non skid” feel but I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary. I would probably consider it if you have little kids or something
@@SethLee good deal dude !!! Yea I got a 4yr old so I’m tryna make it good grip without gettin cheese grated if ya do fall lol …. Thanks for getting back !!
Hey bud i realize this is over a year late but I'm looking for a Keel Guard alternative fr my Ranger RT188 aluminum. With no rivets or seams Gator Guard and the other company says their Guards will work but I'm not wanting to pay no dead gum $160 to 80 on one really. You think that stuff would work as Keel protector?? Thx in advance!!
I have a keel guard on my Allison now and it’s really nice. I’ve been surprised with the quality and durability, this is the first time I’ve ever owned a keel guard. However, I considered using the extra raptor liner I had to spray a onto the Xpress as a keel guard and if I would have kept that boat I definitely would have done it. The raptor liner was extremely tough and never had any problems with with it chipping/scratching/or peeling off. I would 100% trust it and try it as a keel guard.
@@SethLee Yeah was thinking the Raptor Liner would protect good enough and I thank ya for response!! What brand guard did you put on Allison and did you have to put bead of caulk on front edge of it?? Also Allison way to fast to catch fish lol!! Beat other boats to spot though that's for sure except dang Gas prices now eat ya wallet up . Thx again !! Ky. Lake here!!
@@squarebill It’s the original Keel Shield Keel Guard. I’m not sure about the caulk, the guy I bought the boat from had just installed the keel shield brand new right before I bought the boat. Do you think its going to be hot on bare feet in the summer month? Just got my 8 liter kit yesterday but have been thinking about it now that its here. How its going to feel on bare feet for my kids
@@SethLee oh really mine did not have rubber it was just the carpet folded around the lip of the lid. I saw some on amazon but there were so many different ones i didnt know which to buy. If you get some time could you shoot me a link to the right stuff? Thanks. Also i like the new series on driving a bass boat. Waiting for the next video.
@@cajunman7389 thanks! As soon as the river levels go back down around here I’ll be making the next one! The seal is called “trim seal with side bulb”. They make it in all sorts of different sizes. I would send you the link directly but I can’t remember exactly what size it is, I think it’s a 3/8” bulb size and a 1/8” edge size but I’m not 100% sure. It would probably be best to measure it before you buy. If I still had the boat I would check for you
No, I sold it a few months ago. Unfortunately, the guy who bought it wrecked & totaled it not even a week after purchasing it. So we never got to see how it held up long term. However, I had it for a few months after spraying the raptor liner though and I never had any problems with it.
My only complaint is that it can get pretty hot after it has been sitting out in the sun for a while, but other than that it has been amazing, no other problems whatsoever
I don’t even have the boat anymore lol. I sold it a few months after this video and bought a different boat. I loved the raptor liner though for the few months I used it. It was great and never had any problems.
Good job man. Did my truck bed and been thinking about doing my boat.
Looks great i am going to do the inside of my 25 foot center console boat white looking forward to see how it looks

Does it get hot in the summer time or with a lot of sun exposure?

I just decided to use Raptor Liner because I have a friend that uses it often and he’s had great success with it
Looks good how does it look now?
I’m not sure, I sold the boat about a year and a half ago and the guy I sold it to wrapped it around a tree about a week later
How slippery is it when wet ???? with and without shoes ??

I just put the factory rubber seals back on the lip of the boxes. They sell it in bulk on Amazon also

How much would do the same thing to my War Eagle predator?

Do you still have this boat ? Did bed liner start to come off at all ?

How many cans of the primer did it take
I think I used 8
Is it too rough on bare feet?
At what psi did you spray it?
Sorry for the late reply. I sprayed it at 60 PSI
60
That looks really nice. I'd be interested in your opinion after everything is dry and had some use in different types of weather. Nice job man.
My only complaint is that it can get pretty hot after it has been sitting out in the sun for a while, but other than that it has been amazing, no other problems whatsoever
Have you tried it when it got wet yet ? Wondering how slippy it got
Yes, it hasn’t been slippery at all. I’ve fished a few times out in the rain with no problems
So you said you used 12 cans ... So it took 3 gallons???
Yes, that’s a whole lot of surface area to cover
Which Xpress is this?
Did you prime it
Yes, with aluminum primer. If you don’t prime it, it won’t last very long
180 grit for raptor to grab good
yooo, where is the update? 🤣

How do you think it would go on a small aluminium exterior hull?
