Hello Gabi! a quick question if you don't mind, but I've been thinking about traveling to Vietnam for 1 month in August 10th to September 10th more or less, planning to visit the entire of Vietnam, North and South, but the only problem I have is the weather, I heard it's rainy a lot in Aug and Sep? so I'm not sure if it's a good time to visit :O so I'd like to hear your opinion, like what should I do? should I still go for it? or perhaps change plans or just wait next year or whatever? also thank you so much again for your time and for your information, it's helped me a lot! =D
I lived and worked in VN for 10 yrs but moved back to the States for more than 8 yrs now and I miss riding scooters in VN a great deal. Although I had transportation privilege, I chose to buy a Honda Spacey and loved riding that thing. I miss having my girlfriend snuggle tightly behind me whispering or talking or laughing next to me, we'd smell something good or see something interesting and just ride up the sidewalk to check it out, being able to blend in with the fellow riders surrounding me and can hear their chat, seeing children look up to ask their parents some questions, the feeling of freedom and go into alleys and small streets. It's hard to describe. Having said that Gabi, stay the hell away from buses and trucks, those guys are maniacs, even local Vietnamese keep a distance from those guys. Ride safely, stay safe and look forward to seeing your videos in VN.
I have Dreams of Ho Chi Min. It's looks so incredible. The food so delicious. The People so Nice. Amazing Buildings and Energy. Beautiful Woman. So Safe. Paradise

@@douglas3286 Yes, was there in a support capacity. Lived in Saigon. Made friends with some neighborhood high school students. Hope they all survived the government transition.
Great video Gabi. It bought back some nice memories of my trips to HCMC. If you have time I recommend a day trip to the Can Gio Biosphere Reserve (aka Monkey Island). The primary attraction is a huge mangrove pool filled with giant crocodiles. There's also some Viet Cong historical sites with a camp and mannequins set up as a re-enactment of the past times. Safe travels.
I'll be there next month. Looking at visiting Saigon, Da Nang, Hoi An and Ha Noi. Some places worth a visit, the museum is good . Try the rooftop bar at Caravelle Hotel, famous stopover for journalists and War correspondents during Vietnam War. I used to visit on ship when I was at sea and the river traffic is busy or used to be. Great waterfront. Enjoying your Videos. Diolch 👍

Ahah you did it! You went for the full experience of the classic Barber Shop in Vietnam. Awesome! Maybe show us a little bit of the nightlife around Bùi Viện next and other famous local dishes and places. Peace.
Sounds like you were pretty lucky with the weather Gabi. I stayed in D7 for a month in May and it rained quite a bit. I hope you had chili sauce and hoisin sauce with your Pho. I think it needs that kick but I guess that's subjective. IMO a decent pho restaurant provides a decent side dish of greens. I love the combo of bean shoots greens and sauces to the mix. I paid around 80K for a big bowl of pho every second day. II like Banh mi op la which is the version with egg. Couldn't readily get it in D7 but paid 25K for a Korean hybrid which included meat but no egg. Super popular with the locals. Never seen a lady at a banh mi stand work so hard. My only advice is avoid Saigon November through to February if you can as the air pollution is bad in Winter there. Hopefully they will finally open the metro and provide some relief.
I missed that market experience - your film edit of the women saying can I edit you at the end - so true - haha. Hope you visited the zoo and Japan town.

I agree :v Actually Ben Thanh market is infamous for selling T-shirts to foreigners at very high prices compared to local stores (the locals almost never buy T-shirts there). But 200.000đ for 2 T-shirts is a completely great price to obtain. What a bargain!

Hii, I think I’m gonna stay in Vietnam maybe 6 days and I was wondering which city should I stay? Which one is the best (i would like to be close to the sea)
Da Nang offers you both city vibe with really beach beaches. Da nang also have mountains neaby only several kilimeters away from the beaches. Da Nang also have beautiful rivers within the city. One more thing, Hoi An ancient town is only 30km away from Da Nang, and you also can visit ancient capital of Vietnam - Hue only 100km away.
