Việt Á Scandal rocked Vietnam. As long as Vietnam is still ruled by the oppressive and exploitive Communist regime, her potential remains greatly diminished. For any 1% that wants to stay, 99% of the population wants to get out, and many have risked their lives doing just that (for example, 39 doomed lives found in UK container truck recently on the news, and that's only what's been reported), unfortunately. Yet another shocking and also recent example is that during the Covid pandemic when almost all countries assisted their citizens with financial aids in one form or another, the corrupt and murderous Vietnamese Commie regime saw it just another opportunity not to help but to exploit its ruled citizens even more, essentially making money over the corpses of its citizens by presumably killing at least 30K of them, due to misdiagnosis and being and cramped into barbwired unhygenic living quarters for isolations, so that they had to sleep on the concrete floors, with inadequate food, water, or medicine, like animals, with the fake nostril Covid test kits, mislabeled as approved by World Health Organization (WHO) in Việt Á scandal, colluded by at least 4 different government agencies (Y Tế , Khoa Học, Công Nghệ, Quân y) and the top Politburo members, including Nguyễn Phú Trọng, Phạm Minh Chính, Nguyễn Xuân Phúc. Murderous Vietnamese Commie regime even had a thug murdered Christian pastor Giuse Trần Ngọc Thanh, like it has done with many other pastors across the nation. There is a reason why the current Commie Vietnam ranks at the bottom of the world in freedom of speech and freedom of the press, barely above Commie China and Commie North Korea. Similarly, its passport ranks at the bottom, 89th out of 111 countries for a reason, barely above North Koea 104th rank. even below many African nations. For comparison, South Korea 2nd rank. That's what Republic of South Vietnam would have likely been ranked among at least the top 10 had it not been invaded and occupied by the North Vietnamese Commie terrorists, aided by Commie Soviet and Commie China.
Travelers to Vietnam in her current form (not at all like this before the Communists took over) should keep this in mind. Behind the beauty of the land and smiling faces at popular tourist destinations, there are a lot of darkness and sorrow, horror, and sufferings all over the country.

My favorite places in Saigon are Book Street, Duong Nguyen Van Binh( between Notre Dame Church and Ha Ba Trung) It's a quiet yet lively place with big trees, many book stores and nice coffee shops.
Try also the restaurant Propaganda on the other side of Notre Dame, 21 Han Thuyen . Nice inside but especially from the balcony you overlook a park. Amazing food.Good vibe. Actually these are 2 restaurants, the one on the right side offer a different, European menu and access to the first floor.
I like the place in front of the Cathedral, opposite of the famous Post Office ( nice and useful souvenirs, love especially the light slippers) in the evening when the busses have left and the place belongs to the locals. Many young Vietnamese people gather on the grounds and make picnic. So peaceful.
By the way I have never been stolen anything neither been cheated.
Enjoy your time in Vietnam. I'm looking forward to watching your next video.
    Gabi P.

I am about to travel to Saigon this August and I saw two videos of you now, really helpful. Just one question, I saw you been using you phone researching and booking even when you're outside your hotel, is the whole city has a wifi or you bought a sim card and use data on your phone? Sorry am i making sense?

it's free but you need to ask for the password. so to make it easier, buy 1 sim and connect to the internet anywhere. it's really cheap

I have been to Barcelona and Madrid. I love both cities. I feel spanish people are more like vietnamese people. They really like social events outside. Alot of music and dancing.

    nice content!!!
Can you fly the drone in Ho Chi Minh?
In Hanoi there was a Geo Zone from DJI over the whole city.

I feel like this video doesn't really show how insane Bui Vien can be. When I went there last December, there were dancers (including some male) on the dancing platforms of just about every club. Most of them were wearing very skimpy holiday/cosplay inspired attire and there were lots of them. Many tables were also equipped with bongs, so perhaps there was a lot of weed (very illegal in VN, though) being smoked along with the tobacco.
The path was very narrow due to the seating areas bleeding very close to the center of the street, and it was packed with people and some idiots who thought it was a great idea to ride their motorcycles through, but perhaps most importantly, the volume levels were absolutely off the charts with all of the clubs blasting music into the street as loudly as they could. I was legitimately worried for my hearing, as the blasting was causing sound distortion and significant discomfort to my eardrums, and all I did was walk through it. I can't imagine sitting down at one of the clubs and being able to enjoy my time there, despite the plentiful eye candy.
