From what I see, Nahobino is the red mage. Mad Sword skills, good selection of magic, and can even heal. Demifiend shall always be the warrior/berserker. Cause he'll CRUSH EVERYING.
It was really cool seeing Nahobino do the Demi-Fiend pose before using Chaotic Will. Kind of sad we don’t have the Freikugel eye lasers though, that looked more like Divine Shot
That's because Freikugel is not a Nahobino-exclusive skill. It can be inherited from a couple of other demons, such as Asura, and can be used by any demon.
I don't have a switch to play it in but I wanna ask, is Riot Gun a thing in this game? Because if not then the reason Freikugel is like that is because they finally renamed Riot Gun to the same name as the japanese version which is also Freikugel. They actually fudged up the translation in the older games since if I remember correctly they named those two spells the other versions name and vice versa so in one version Riot Gun was known as Freikugel and such
we never gonna see a SMT character in smash, becuse well they have to put the demons such as Lucifer, Satan, Belzeebub, YHVH, or even worse Mara as spirits.

yeah because it comes from demi-fiend essence, if you beat demi-fiend to get his essence you've essentially beat the games hardest challenge, its like one of those super op skills/weapons you get from the hardest super boss yet you have nothing to use it on except maybe fresh new game+

I like the fact that Nahobino has unique skills just like Demi-Fiend in the game. When I'm playing his DLC it makes me feel like Demi-Fiend is sending his old buddies the fiends to test his son and Nahobino is just like why can't you just call for me normally Dad and the Demi-Fiends like well you went on a fiend killing journey like your old man and got unique skills so that's pretty dope right Now fight me so I can kick your ass at least 100 times.
I am actually shocked how good many of his uniques are. The only one I ditched entirely is the healing water one the rest even aramasa have a situation they are great in.

His Thassalassic Calamity one is just nonchalant, as if these fights are just mundane to him. My personal staple skills of his I tried keeping as much as possible: Aramasa, Miracle Water, Sakanagi, Kannabi Veil, Divine Arrowfall, Wrath Tempest, Thalassic Calamity, Murakumo. Then as far as Demi-Fiend skills, here are the ones I learned: Deadly Fury, Gaea Rage, Chaotic Will.
I fell in love with kanabei veil and ruinous thunder. Having a heavy single target spell early _and_ what is basically a magatushi skill in a support should be just illegal
Bro Thalassic Calamity and Ruinous Thunder I wish we're stronger, both skills are so visually appealing, I would've also liked a force and fire type of skill like those 2 but it's still cool to see those 2
While I love the skills as someone who went mag build I feel like I'm missing out and being ripped off hard. So many phys uniques and mag is barely touched. A bunch of support but barely any mag attacks makes things boring. Its too late to go str protag so I miss out on most of the good stuff.

Do you ever get more than one of each throughout the game? In the earlier part of the game (with Aogami Essence types 1 and 2) I didn't entirely realize how limited they were going to be and didn't select the unique skill to inherit with them, thinking I already had a loadout I wanted without the need for Aramasa in particular (i was going for magic early game). But I've played for a while longer and I don't really see an opportunity to get them again (they don't seem to be random drops, they're like specific to certain pickups?). I wonder if you can buy them at the shop in NG+ or something?
@@christopherhu7189 Not *entirely* true. It actually is possible to get them from the item points that navigation demons point out to you, but the chance of getting one, not to even mention getting a _specific_ one, is vanishingly small.
Just replying to this in case any newer players read this, but there is an area late in the game called Odaiba bridge where you can find Aogami essences fairly often at the demon search points there. Don't stress about replacing Nahobino's unique skills, they are useful for quite a while but most of them aren't the best in their category, with their biggest advantage being that they're very MP efficient.

@@dieuwtjin well so far each Canon Protag focuses on something. Demi-Fiend is definitely the physical type. From Nahobino it seems like a mix tbh. For all, we know he might specialize in both physical and magic. (Until we get a Canon showing of his movelist this is all that we can speculate on)

Demi-Fiend is definitely more Stronger. If you see how the battle can play out. Him fighting Demi-Fiend is canon tho. Because it's DLC. How the Pixe states in her intro before you fight her Man is this Nahobino had to basically earn the right to even Fight Demi-fiend. In her words "Toe-to-Toe" so they are even at most or Demi-Fiend is slightly higher...until they confirm it (Atlus) you can definitely say Nahobino is a Rival to him.
The Will Of D If the demi fiend fight was canon then that must mean the TDE in nocturne is canon? Must also mean Lucifer and Demi Fiend won the fight against YHVH since Lucifer “absorbed the knowledge of god” and he states in the trailer “the god you worship is dead”?

their are strength based and magic based skills. physical: aramasa, sakanagi (strength based based almighty), wrathful tempest, gaea rage magical: the rest of the attacks he also has some unique support/status moves. really you just use what you're building for. they are one time uses, if you want more you're gonna have to go into ng+ for them
@@rasdan1192 both are fine, physical is actually easier to build because aramasa is essentially the same as hassou tobi and wrathful tempest is a better version that gets increased critical damage (great for bursting during mugasushi windows). physical is just kind of meh early game till you get aramasa (which isnt to far into the game)

I held on to Aramasa for so long just because of how cool it was. Especially when it was the final strike on a boss.
Same for wrath’s tempest. If you land the final blow, the screen goes dark until the end of the 8 hits. It was pretty cool.

I too am a magic build and just before the path selection, I might just clear Into NG+ and rebuild from there.
Magic Build is still viable and Thalassic Calamity, Ruinous Thunder, Corrupt Will, etc. are cool

Yeah, but you have Yasubame Shot which isn’t too shabby as a piercing crit skill. Boosted by Crit Zealot, doesn’t feel too bad.
While I love the skills as someone who went mag build I feel like I'm missing out and being ripped off hard. So many phys uniques and mag is barely touched. A bunch of support but barely any mag attacks makes things boring. Its too late to go str protag so I miss out on most of the good stuff.
I mean you get like 4 strength ones to like 3 magic ones so it’s not too bad. It’s more that murakumo is busted

Do you ever get more than one of each throughout the game? In the earlier part of the game (with Aogami Essence types 1 and 2) I didn't entirely realize how limited they were going to be and didn't select the unique skill to inherit with them, thinking I already had a loadout I wanted without the need for Aramasa in particular (i was going for magic early game). But I've played for a while longer and I don't really see an opportunity to get them again (they don't seem to be random drops, they're like specific to certain pickups?). I wonder if you can buy them at the shop in NG+ or something?
Navigator demons can randomly pick them up in the overworld after you've obtained them once ^^
You can re-get Aogami essences from companions' search points. Not sure if you can get absolutely all of them again that way, but I've gotten a few.
Aogami essences are one per play through. Everything else can be grinded
@@christopherhu7189 Not *entirely* true. It actually is possible to get them from the item points that navigation demons point out to you, but the chance of getting one, not to even mention getting a _specific_ one, is vanishingly small.
Just replying to this in case any newer players read this, but there is an area late in the game called Odaiba bridge where you can find Aogami essences fairly often at the demon search points there. Don't stress about replacing Nahobino's unique skills, they are useful for quite a while but most of them aren't the best in their category, with their biggest advantage being that they're very MP efficient.

Really love all the unique skills in the game but not gonna lie demi fiend pulls that freikugel a lot better (And If you ask me it is only natural he does that lol)

Yes, you should go for an optimal build but goddamn are all these animations beautiful and demonstrate Nahobino is a True God.

I wish Demi fiend had better magic skills though. It looks like the physical ones completely blow the magic ones out of the water. Why invest in different magic affinities when you can just use Gaea rage and Freikugel on everything?
Well that's the guy's style, to just go "Me SMASH" on everything, especially with how Freikugel's animation is on nocturne, where he shoots it out of his face in a very cathartic way XD

Demi-Fiend is definitely the physical type. From Nahobino it seems like a mix tbh. For all, we know he might specialize in both physical and magic.
(Until we get a Canon showing of his movelist this is all that we can speculate on)
@@The_WIll_OF_D99 It doesn't really matter since his best skills are physical and almighty. What does a magic build nahobino have compared to mirakumo/multi enemy multi hit physical attacks and the endgame freikugal/gaea rage? Nothing. I regret making my hard mode nahobino magical.

Freikugel isn't a Nahobino exclusive attack, anybody can learn it, I taught it to Belial using Sandalphon's Essence
Freikugel exe is different from the actual Freikugel

Nahobino had to basically earn the right to even Fight Demi-fiend. In her words "Toe-to-Toe" so they are even at most or Demi-Fiend is slightly higher...until they confirm it (Atlus) you can definitely say Nahobino is a Rival to him.
The Will Of D If the demi fiend fight was canon then that must mean the TDE in nocturne is canon? Must also mean Lucifer and Demi Fiend won the fight against YHVH since Lucifer “absorbed the knowledge of god” and he states in the trailer “the god you worship is dead”?
@@mercury2751 the True Demon Ending is infact canon. Demi Fiend did beat YHVH but he mostly Universe hops at this point unless stated otherwise. Each Protag is in their own Universe doing their own thing. if you want 100% confermation on this look up his Super Bossfight then See Him fight iin SMT Imagine then after that along side the Other Protags (from SMT 1,2,4 and 4AP)

this character has been in a lot of SMT games and he legit is one of the strongest characters in the verse. but enjoy that fight. Demi Fiend was just so cool and seeing his lines show off his character personality was cool.

their are strength based and magic based skills.
physical: aramasa, sakanagi (strength based based almighty), wrathful tempest, gaea rage
magical: the rest of the attacks
he also has some unique support/status moves. really you just use what you're building for. they are one time uses, if you want more you're gonna have to go into ng+ for them

@@rasdan1192 both are fine, physical is actually easier to build because aramasa is essentially the same as hassou tobi and wrathful tempest is a better version that gets increased critical damage (great for bursting during mugasushi windows). physical is just kind of meh early game till you get aramasa (which isnt to far into the game)
Ruinous Thunder, Thalassic Calamity, Divine Arrowfall, Profaned Land and Miracle Water are Magic. The rest are physical.
