The funny thing is that the two new Strength-based Skills aren't that good for a pure Strength-based build and get better mileage off of a higher Agility stat than Strength stat (Lunar Hurricane's number of hits scale off Agility diff and Paraselene Blur is literally unusable unless if the MC dodged an attack first) However, Moonlight Frost and Heavenly Ikuyami are really busted Magic skills in their own right too, so it's a lot more balanced than in Original between Magic and Strength.
The fact that you can't toggle this form on/off on NG+ is downright criminal... like it doesn't even need to be during cutscenes I'd be okay with just during gameplay
That's right, I mean the original form is iconic but what's the point of introducing a new form to (SPOILER)make it last 3 dungeons? I think giving both forms the same space wouldn't hurt
evergreen dance too. I've been cheesing lot of higher level bosses by using this strat: Omagatoki:Succession -> spam evergreen till magatsuhi full again + inflaming (since you cant use evergreen twice) -> freikugel ex 4 times xD
@@brandoncherry6264 I think you are in luck. It looks like the Lunar Hurricane skill is actually strength based (weak) force attack where the number of hits is determined by how much higher the Nahobino's Agility is compared to the enemy. So I personally think it can work for your physical crit build if you put a few points into Agility every now and then. Think of as a Force based Aramasa and it could take that moves spot if you don't mind having fewer hits compared to Aramasa.
@@KageDarkAngel actually question on the subject of Skill power/strength: if a Skill is one Element, but says it's a Strength based; does it also get more power if have Potential in that Element?? Or is it only the MP decrease? 🤔🤔
@@IamDaBlitz64 It does lower costs when you increase the potential for the element of the skill, but sadly it doesn't affect damage output of skills. However strength based skills damage outputs are indeed affected by the unit's Strength stat. So Lunar Hurricane's damage is based on the Str stat and the number of hits is based on the difference between the Nahobino's Agi stat and the target's Agi stat. Base number of hits is 3 at the least. The max can reach up to 8-10 hits. I get about 7-8 from basic enemies in the 4th Da'at area and 7 in the last area so far. About 5 against the Demi-Fiends 99 Agi stat.
@@KageDarkAngel that's odd that Potential doesn't enhance a Skill of said type/attribute; only lower cost. Like Ailments having an innate higher infliction chance, Healing having a slight boost, or Support gaining another turn or 2. :/ It's fun to mix & match skills, but often better to just focus on Strength or Magic; ya know?? 😅
I've got some thoughts on Paraselene Blur in particular. It's obviously quite strong (though a lot of bosses are resistant or immune to Light... -_-'), but the animation is something else. I only noticed after I got to use it myself that the glowing parts of the Nahobino's body glow much more intensely after that deep breath (though in fairness, it's much more obvious in his Aogami form), and I love how he just casually saunters up to his target before he starts slashing them to ribbons. The only criticism I have of the animation is the trails of light; they seem to follow his actual fingers instead of the scythes that come out from them, and it makes the trails look really mismatched and weird, especially when he finishes the attack with just one finger-scythe drawn.
It's the third Tsukyomi essence. You get these three essences by talking to the lady who informs you of the dlc quests at the Diet Building. This third one becomes available as soon as you reach the Empyrean, and you'll have to pick it up before alignment lock in the Throne Room.
