We had a student pass away my freshman year of high school and we dedicated this song to her. This is by far my favorite song we've ever played. Miss being in the band since I graduated in 2016. So many memories are brought back by listening to this.
French horn isn’t my main instrument but it’s by far my favorite. It deserves the love it gets from Galante. A good hornline will always give me goosebumps.
C.J. T I love playing Galante for that reason. All his songs sound similar, but they are all beautiful. Every one has amazing horn lines, and they’re so much fun to play
As a horn player since back in 5th grade and still enjoying playing in community band now in my 60s, I'm full of joy as I hear the horns in this piece. The entire arrangement is so majestic, so noble, so sublime, so magnificent! I can't hit replay often enough.
My father played horn and would have loved this piece. I am sorry for your loss. But perhaps both our dads can look down and hear this whenever they want.
Galante just had this wonderful ability to write a music through to heaven. His music reminds us through to heaven, the beautiful world, and makes us cherish what we have now. ❤️
As me being a French horn and euphonium player, I can definitely say that I whole heartedly love Galante. He writes beautiful music and the parts for my instruments are amazing
I’m in middle school playing it.. get nae naed. All seriousness though it’s difficult, so I’d hold back. I play T. Sax which is difficult and this song is just next level, especially for a middle schooler like you and me.
Once you get to High School, I definitely recommend it. I'm sure your teacher will approve of it, it's a very good festival and performance piece. It is also very challenging, and good for teaching.
Waffle 101 if you don’t do it in middle school you will be really behind, do it as soon as you can, you will be the worst player in the band if you wait until high school
It seems like my band is a big fan of him. We've played this one, and right now we are learning Red Rock. It's amazing, and the mallet parts are always so well composed.
Lilliac I wish my band was passionate enough to play this music. I’m in eighth grade and there were only 3 people who made Allstate this year. A 2nd chair clarinet(me) 10th chair clarinet and a 3rd chair trumpet-
Can someone kind of explain to me how grade level music works in schools? For example, grade 2 to 3 music is for middle school. Sorry. I'm homeschooled. I'd really like to know so that I know what I'm up against when I enter a college or university. :D
Grade 1 music = 6th/early 7th grade bands Grade 1.5 music = 7th grade bands Grade 2 music = 8th grade bands Grade 2.5 music = 8th/early high school bands Grade 3 music = second-year high school bands Grade 3.5 - 4 = late high school bands Grade 5+ = college/professional (typically)
Publishers (typically) grade pieces differently from the state music associations. As someone from Virginia, the pieces range from grade 0.5-6. And of course, not all bands are the same level, but from my middle school bands, here’s what I can tell you: Grade 0.5- 5th grade Grade 0.5/1- 6th grade Grade 2 - 7th grade Grade 3/4 - 8th grade Grade 4/5 (depending on how good you are) - 9-12 grade
SilverFlute I just moved to Virginia I’m going to be in the top ensemble so does that mean we could be playing songs like this and harder? I moved from Illinois and the band program is really good but much different than here.

That is sad.

That’s so sad…😢
From what I have gathered from the comments on other Galante pieces, this guy gives a lot of love to the french horns
as he should xD
yes. it's why I love him as a composer (former French Horn player here)
French horn isn’t my main instrument but it’s by far my favorite. It deserves the love it gets from Galante. A good hornline will always give me goosebumps.
@@sircraftguymusic also sorta kinda why I'm not a fan of Sousa.
Rightfully so (I play horn)
Is no one going to comment on how AMAZING FRENCH HORNS ARE ON THIS PIECE!?

Well, so far every piece written by Galante has amazing horn parts sooooo it's almost like a given by now imo 🤣🤣

C.J. T I love playing Galante for that reason. All his songs sound similar, but they are all beautiful. Every one has amazing horn lines, and they’re so much fun to play

How does Galante find a mic long enough to reach the heavens ???
He borrows power from God himself brother
How beautiful....especially the Grandioso part with the phantom key change....
The last piece I played In my ensemble before my dad passed away, and I’m pretty sure he went over and saw beyond when he left
My father played horn and would have loved this piece. I am sorry for your loss. But perhaps both our dads can look down and hear this whenever they want.

Galante put the horns in their place. An amazing place

I just somehow stumbled upon this, and gotta say, this gave me the chills! I wish I could play this, still in middle school band though.

Waffle 101 you just said you weren’t in band
One of my favorite pieces! Loved playing this in college!
Playing bass trombone (tbn3) on this piece. Absolutely beautiful piece. Galante is a beautiful composer, I'm glad to have discovered his music.
one of my favourite pieces to the point of playing it on flute pic and oboe at home and in band I love this piece !!
It really beautifully portrays the rise of a bright new morning in the future beyond the horizon.
Also to any of the horn players who played this reading this, first round's on me tonight
Galante Top👏👏❤❤
I loved pieces like this in high school!!!!!
Loved playing this song. French horns killed this. #trunpetplayer

Riiiiiiight?! I love it! The French horns get so many cool lines. :D
I’m a Trumpet but the Horn does sound really good in this song
The intro reminds me of a 80s/90s news broadcast intro
lmao same
Love to have playing it fot my consert
This is an amazing piece for band. I hope our High School Band can accomplish it one day!
Empolgante!
Music like this can save someone from spiritual suicide
2:23 UGHHHHH SOO PRETTYY 😍
Horn and euphonium are the best instruments
Playing bass clarinet, Absolutely love the range I play. Really low parts and some extremely high parts that I don’t usually play
go check out red rock mountain (also composed by Rossano) you’ll thank me later:)

I play the trombone
This piece is like God's Country, Nostalgia, Mount Everest, and The Falls.
This sounds more like a combination of Soarin Around the World, James Cameron's Avatar, and Star Wars
総文祭でやります。この曲すき、、
Sounds like something youd hear on movies n games like star wars, dragon quest, atelier games, monster hunter and adventure game/movie.
sounds a lot like... adventure

does anyone know when this was actually composed?
the copyright is 2009

We play level 3.5 in my honor band and we’re in sixth seventh and eighth grade, and honestly we all wish we could play something harder
