I’ve been watching your videos ever since you started and gave me hope in regards to getting my own C8 which seemed to take forever. We went to the Ron Fellows school In Paharump. Drove from Central Florida all the way out there straight. Enjoyed the track immensely as well as the instructors, had a fantastic time. From there we picked up Route 66 and followed it all the way on our way to the Corvette Museum where we met Shane and thanked him for all his hard work and dedication. Then we were off to the Tail of the Dragon and then back south again. We put on over 7000 miles. Averaged 28-29 mpg. The tires still look brand new. WHAT A CAR!! We were gone for 40 days and along the way we met some of the best people ever. Of course our Rapid Blue/Silver stripe rocket was the hit of the show no matter where it stopped. Let people sit in it and gave a few rides especially to the kids. They will never forget that neither will we. Once again a BIG thanks!!
Austin, I saw in person the C8.R's run at the IMSA Sportscar Weekend at Road America (America's fastest road course track) and you are dead-on --- those C8.R's were very loud running around the track - much louder output than I expected with their FPC engines (of course running race headers only - makes any engine very load..!). The access to the pits, pit boxes, and grid area was a great experience as well there - very race fan friendly there for that event. :-)

The c8 r race car is such a monster and i love it! Can’t wait to hopefully get my z06. One thing i wish the z06 had was those front fenders, they look aggressive as hell 🤩
Great video dude. I went to the IMSA race in Detroit 2 years back, but the GTLM cars were at LeMans. I was bummed, but I did almost get run over after the race by the Whelen Cadillac who won the race! I’m moving down near Sebring, so hopefully I’ll make that event next year. Hopefully get some track time out there as well.
The C8-R Race car is just that, a race car skinned with body panels. The C8-R Street car is a totally different animal. It may look the same at first glance but they are totally different cars. I think you'd be hard pressed to find anything interchangeable between each other. As always, Thanks for the video! 👍

Especially seeing that it got to be right next to a race version. Sweet!
Initially I liked the gray and was not a fan of AY until I saw the AY C8R Edition in person at Watkins Glen. I fell in love with AY and hope they still offer it when my Z06 is delivered. I have a deposit at MacMulkin and I'll likely get a second year car.
First off, you can lower a C8 Stingray for track. Get better brakes, dive planes, magnesium wheels, ported airbox and aftermarket exhaust. All of the above is CHEAP in 2021 for making the standard Stingray more track worthy. Great content, and waiting to see your track content.
Was going to buy the wife a GT4 but instead she is now going to be getting a C8 Z07. Just waiting now like everyone else, list is coming out soon. Curious if anyones been notified yet?? Great video SP!!!
Interesting roof scoop and air intake. Too bad the intake obscures what the tp of the engine looks like (we did get a glimpse at the red paint). The roll cage is tubular but I think parts if the frame structure is tubular as well so save weight.
Do we know the weight on those C8R race cars vs the stock? I'm curious to know after seeing the 20 laps done on those slicks. I know their pushing limits, but like to get a better idea how the weight vs driving level is wearing the tires.
Pretty sure you already knew, C8.R edition street car does not have the same engine as the C8.R. This year IMSA was a bit lame in GTLM with the Vettes only facing 1 non-factory Porsche and occasionally a BMW. You should’ve gone to see them at Laguna.
I'm getting a GoPro for Christmas and starting a POV Sim racing and tracking my Mustang Channel. Is there any way you can make a video on how you make videos. Show us beginners what you use for microphones and cameras. And kind of show us how and what software you use, show us the basics.
Why? The C8-R runs a restrictor intake, it's not tuned for street use nor practical for that. It also chokes the engine down over 100 HP less than the Z06 670 HP. Often times IMSA cars don't run filters due to the restriction either, just mesh. So unless tearing down your C8 motor routinely for less HP just to say you run a C8-R intake is your bag, forget it.
Not into 'decal' packages costing thousands of $. Save the $$, and just get a base Z06. It's much closer to a real C8.R. I ordered my C6Z as a 1LZ base and saved thousands. And after more than 100Kmi, I'm very happy I did. Just my 2¢
No manual trans in the auto world can shift as fast as the C8's DCT; now for a Sunday drive on the street - manual is the way to go, but out on the track trying to squeak out the best lap times - then the DTC is the only way to go..! :-)

I believe they are just around 3,000lbs. Don't quote me on it...
C8.R actual weight is 2,777 lbs (and 2,733 is the minimum mandated weight for GTLM class), C8 coupe is 3,366 lbs (dry weight).
