    That hay is coming back good. It’s been very dry here again for several days. Finally got a little rain tonight. That little tractor did good with the Bush hog! What’s the status on your 7060?

      From what I was told they removed all 4 injectors, sent them out for testing and if one injector failed they replace all 4… from what I know as of today they ordered new injectors and were putting them in today, hoping to pick it up tomorrow. I would really like to get it back tomorow and mow the areas that were too wet before to give it a good hard work out to make sure all is good with it. If you need rain just mow a little hay and they rain will come 😂

    I mowed some super thick brush with my L2501 yesterday. I did a bit of video I will publish in a few days. It was pretty steep and I had to watch what I was doing so I didn't take much video. The L2501 handled it great. I went in low gear because I couldn't see logs, stumps, or holes. Found a Badger den. He was not happy with me rearranging his front yard.

      lol I don’t think I’d want to be dealing with any badgers! luckily we do t have many steep areas around here, I think I’m
      still going to get the tires loaded for loader and stability reasons. Thanks for watching, Gary!

    I want to upgrade to a BrushBull, they sure are proud of them. My old POS Howes cutter might just have to get a few more pieces of angle iron & flat plate burned on to it.

      I needed to buy a new one regardless. The woods had the best specs for the money. I was considering this one and a used bush hog brand that was built a little bit heavier for the same price but I think I made the right decision going with a new unit and would make the same buy again. Thanks for watching !

    G'day guys.
    I did not realise your property was as big as it is. I just had to check your profile to see how much land you had.
    Good stuff! It looks so nice there guys.
    All the best,
    Daz.

      Good morning Daz, Yes we have 45 acres total, some of it is wooded we try to keep as much of its useable as possible! Thanks for watching!

      @@HillsideAcres It's nice here, but totally different. The bush (forest or the national park) here is great and full of deadly as well as nice animals, but not really lush and green and it does not have a lot of colourful flowers or weeds.
      Hard to explain.
      I'll have to get out and do a video.
      Unfortunately I have agoraphobia, so I never leave the house. I'll see what I can do...

    • @Void9961
      @Void9961 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HillsideAcres as far as can you hook up multiple attachments to it and , can you use it to bale hay? You have a nice farm brother

    • @HillsideAcres
      @HillsideAcres  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Void9961 It will be just as versatile as any tractor with CAT 1 3 point hitch and SSQA front loader. So yes very versatile. I would recommend a heavier tractor for baling hay. I have seen people use the 2501 for small baleing it would also depend on how much you are looking to do ! Thanks you as well

    What size is the woods mower..5' or 6'

    Nice video. Love my new 2501. What range were you working in? M? Seemed like you were moving along pretty well.

    • @HillsideAcres
      @HillsideAcres  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes i was in "M". Seems to be the go to speed for any mowing as i can slow it down easily with the hst pedal if i feel the load increasing. The L2501 didnt run out of power as fast as i thought i would have, it really is an awesome tractor!

  • @sth9460
    @sth9460 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The L2501 did a good job. Do you ever cut brush with the FEL removed?

    • @HillsideAcres
      @HillsideAcres  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes sometimes I’ll have the loader off when I cut around the pond that I keep up on a lot better but I’m over grown stuff like this it helps to fold it all over and protect anything exposed on the tractor, thanks for watching !

  • @sth9460
    @sth9460 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    One more question. Which would you recommend for a L2501, the Land Pride RCR1260 or the heavier duty RCR1860 cutter? Thanks

    • @HillsideAcres
      @HillsideAcres  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is a good question, It would really depend on what the use was for. just thick grass and weeds i would get the lighter one. but in my case i do a little bit of everything so i went with the heavier duty woods. At the end of the day the rcr 1860 will be more capable, withstand long term wear better and in my opinion the initial price difference isnt that much for getting a better performing unit, Hope this helps!

    • @jdub229r
      @jdub229r 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      RCR1860 over the 1260 or sure, the BrushBull or EA extreme seem to be the king of the hill. Debating which to buy, I’d like the best I can get for under $2k either new or slightly used.

    • @HillsideAcres
      @HillsideAcres  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jdub229r The brush bull was just a hair over 2k but also had the best specs for the money on the market! Seems like it is is very well designed to last a long time!

    • @jdub229r
      @jdub229r 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HillsideAcres I’m going to pull the trigger on the EA Xtream today. With a 75hp gearbox upgrade & slip clutch, it’s $2075. They have Orange in stock too. I’m an hour by away & can pick it up which is a plus. Just bought my L2501HST 2 weeks ago (started following your channel when I saw you guys on the L2501 FB page), really happy with my purchase. My old Howse looks like it’s been shot with buckshot! Thanks to you guys for taking the time to post content, I bet it’s time consuming. If your ever in NC look us up!

    • @HillsideAcres
      @HillsideAcres  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jdub229r I have heard nothing but good things about EA, I believe that im just outside of their free shipping zone which makes it a tough call. I do think its a good idea going with a little bit of an overbuilt brush hog because they sure do take a beating. Typically we are on the road and travelling around more frequently, but with rebuilding this bard is a real time consumer but i do have some family in South Carolina and do pass through!
