  • Repairing the original CD loader/reader of the Technics CD player turns out to be a bit harder than expected... But, here's the progress so far
The follow-up will have to wait till my summer break ends...
    Enjoy :)

Hi TechneMoira, another great video. I was working on a Philips DVP3960 DVD player and the loader jams intermittently. I replaced the drive belt from another unit but still the same issue. I think I should get a new belt since I have seen that the belt has some play in it. Other than the loader jam the unit is fine. Meanwhile I enjoyed your video and I hope all is well with you! Keep them coming!!! Be well!!! 🙂

Hello Alfonso, Maybe there is a belt tensioner inside the player? Have you checked?
I'm having my summer break. I'll be back probably around end of August :)
      Enjoy sumer when you can

@@TechneMoira Yes, I did check but this is a very cheap unit and there is no belt tension. I think it's wear and tear on the plastic parts. Enjoy your summer and I hope it doesn't get that hot. We sure get a lot of heat, here in Florida! See you on the next video! Enjoy!! 🙂

No grease on plastic,it is selflubricating, the white one.

Hello, there was (a little) grease on the plastic present, probably put there at the factory. Therefore I assume(d) a little fresh lithium grease wouldn't hurt. But thanks for the tip and considering subscribing ! :)
