🤔🤔🤔. That mean cow with the stuck afterbirth reminded me of a time I didn’t want to remember at all. Every May to August we’d visit my gramps ranch for fun times then at 10 it became a paying job and hard work. A cow he’d already brought in before we arrived was so mean but was in trouble. She’d lie down and if gramps or whoever approached she’d get up and charge. The calf was stuck and soon was yelling and again charge us. She’d finally got so mad she got up and swung around so fast that calf came flying out 20 ft knocking my uncle passed out holding it and that cow nearly killed him. When all was done decided not to work on checking her out so next day some of the placenta was hanging and she was awful sick. Never forget that awful smell and worse than smell of collected manure. When gramp was asked how does he handle the muddier times and all that manure he said he didn’t smell anything and that’s why he continued with raising a herd. He was told if ya don’t smell it then he was meant to be a farmer. Asked another question which he said HUH to claiming he couldn’t hear what was asked. Claimed he lost his hearing a few years after marrying gram cus got tired of answering all her questions 😅😂🤣. Needless to say the work y’all do is definitely not easy and if you’re clean then didn’t work at all. After his love my gram passed his hearing was much improved and his stories was the pride for several more years. Keep sharing your stories and Cole keep recording them too. Back then we’d keep written journals in hopes to write books for history of our family but you keep recording for times ya just want to hear your dad and uncles voice telling them instead. Sure wish I could hear the voices I loved to spend my summers with and other times too and who surprised us with a college fund or just starting a new life and we didn’t find out until after he passed and then had a letter for each one of us. Sorry sooo long and now know why I love your videos. Ya do bring a flood of memories and a wonderful display of a great father son and family relationship filling the needs of this country and world and a flood o great stories. Am ready for next one soon. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Brian & Cole Sonne are my angus heroes and Sandi Brock is my sheep hero. They care for their animals and give them a lot of care and love. Too bad You Tube gives Sandi so much trouble with breeding & lambing. If she showed a view like we see when a cow is calving, she'd get thrown off You Tube. Yet the let those city type messy, falling apart buildings & fences show their goats & pigs have close up shots of their birthing. They don't give their animals the drugs or care Sandi, Cole & Brian do. Cole, could you let Sandi know about those 1/2 barrel calf sleds you spoke about a couple days ago? She sure could use 1, and I can't seem to find your video where you told who made them. She had a ewe trying to get in her lamb taxi made out out of Mark's ice fishing sled & her clothes basket lamb sled. Love you all. Diane Peterson -- raised on a 200 + acre angus/ crop farm back in the 50 's & 60's.

Cole, your dad was just showing his MacGyvering skills with that fence, esp with the weather being crap, the ground being a mess, and is my understanding, the price of lumber has gone way up. Lol I laughed a little too hard at the cow stepping on the sled, trying to keep you from moooving her calf into the barn. She was prolly thinking, "no joyriding with my kid'. Was nice of you to take them on a sled ride though. And well I'd be thankful that your dad didn't pull out the afterbirth till after he wiped the stuff off the side of your face. Small blessings. And in honor of National Agriculture Day/Week. Thank you, Cole, Brian, and Jeff, for all you do for the agriculture industry, and for being the wonderful you, that you all are. Your girlfriend did a nice job on the website as well. Stay safe, be well, and stay blessed.

I asked dad and he said that, indeed, they had lights back then when he and Brian would have been in school. He explained that they used dinosaur oil as fuel for them. He also said they advised them not to use the lights as they rode their horses home because the Indians would see the light and attack.. According to him, school was a little easier back then because history had not been invented yet because the Earth was still young. He said he remembers Brian in school tho. He said Brian was famous because he was one of the few people that ever met Jesus personally and got his autograph.

Except for today’s overly protective momma, I’m amazed at how docile your heifers are. Watching Dad milk them to get a calf started is incredible. Perhaps it’s the number of time you work them thru the chute and the daily feeding contact.

Ive noticed mothers of twins even the most placid of milk cows get a bit excitable when they have twins. Seems to be part and parcel of the twin factor.

It's been nice here no white water from the sky, just water that fell during the darkness. Nice to see the cows and calves are healthy hope the one cleans out okay. Great video thanks

Plz tell story of creepy old 2 story house? Did Cole used to throw raves there? Does Brian know any murders that happened? That house was brand new and was somebodies pride and joy.
