That triangle window is called a vent window. It used to be standard on all cars. Way before air conditioning, young whippersnapper. Best way to get into your car when you locked the keys inside also. 💘 🐂 🌽 🐕 🚜 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

We sure are glad you all survived the wild weather. That wing window is what you call vintage air conditioning. Takes me back to being a kid. I am around the same age as Brian and even though my grandparents didn't have farms they grew up on them and some of the family were still farmers. I bet Brian has great stories of growing up in that summer heat and the winter cold! Every spring the first time you pulled the vent rods (mechanical vents under the dash), in our old cars, the fir needles, dirt and leaves would blast out at you in a cloud. That big green beast had regular crank windows, wing windows and the electric roll down window in the back gate. You worked it with the key. Woooo fancy! Every summer mom and dad would pack us three kids up in the big green '69 Ford station wagon with the rumble seats and no ac to go back to the homeland in Wisconsin. The wing windows were the greatest! They should still put them in cars. When it was hot they worked great except when they caught bugs or wasps and sent them straight at the people sitting in the front seat. Bees in the car was not fun. Going across the country before I-90 in the summer was fun though. I remember going through SD and it was over 100 degrees. We all put on our bathing suits and soaked the beach towels with water in a gas station sink every time they dried out. With all the windows, vents and wing windows open and the wet towels draped over us we had our own personal swamp coolers until they dried out again. We made up games to play and learned a lot because our parents would tell us all about what we were seeing outside. Farms, towns, fields, livestock, history. Years of those trips shaped my whole life and I appreciate all the hard work people do to keep us all fed. I have a lot of stories too. It was an adventure I wouldn't trade for anything. Kids who don't grow up outside and always in conditioned spaces need to build some character. Farm kids have lots of character. That is why you guys make the best videos for us to enjoy!

I commented on the wings but had forgot all about the pulling the vent rods! Hard to believe that was 40 years ago when I was 16 driving that 56 chevy pickup. Yeah, the memories of those times just feel like something every young person should get to experience, the world feels like it has taken a hard turn in the wrong direction.

Thanks for another great video Cole.
Most interesting with the storm coverage.
Wow. That storm moved in on you pretty quickly. Had prayers going for you and the farm.
It appears your crops are going to weather the storm that moved through. Very good.
So glad your crops are ok.
The drone footage was outstanding. Great overview of the crop land in your area. Looking good it is. Trusting your crops will produce good this year.
Nice to have shed space for all of your equipment when it storms. Good to get it inside before the storm hits. Good job Brian.
What-no song of the day. Missed that.
Glad Storla Station was ok and no damage. Ya!!!!
Tami’s flowers were ok but a little wind damage. She was checking them out to make sure.
Thanks for showing us around the fields. That was interesting. We used to do the same thing back in the day. One year hail took everything.
You all take care and be safe.
Looking forward to the next video.
    Thanks for everything.
    The Iowa farm boy.
    Steve.
Forgot something about what Cole was talking about.
You were talking about the side vents on the truck you were using.
A little info. Those are called side window vents. Also go be a few other names. Most people called then side window vents. Were real common back in the day before air conditioners.
Most cars had them also. My old cars had them.
Just a little info for you.
    Thanks
    The Iowa farm boy.

Nice to see you had some rain, we sure could use some. We've had only a little over a half and inch in 5 weeks, with averages in the mid 90s. Monday my son and I had to work on the baling tractor for a few hours, it had broken down in the hay field. It was over 100 degrees and the tools and panels on the tractor were so hot, we couldn't touch them. After the tractor was running, we had to rake and bale hay, for 2 to 3 hours each and load hay to haul home. Green Acres on the theme song, Brian. Thanks for the video Cole, hope you have a great week.

I really liked that shot at 6:10 , seeing the low clouds bootin along with the high clouds behind. And the panning high up drone shot was nice. I hope your corn is alright.

It's rarely good when the sky turns green like that. The wind that occurs just before the storm where the temp drops like 20+ degrees is called a gust front or outflow boundary and the cloud that was hanging there is called a shelf cloud. Glad you made it thru with only minor damage.

Green Acres. I am happy you two showed the aftermath of the storm. I saw that you were going to get something. Tami has a claim on her flowers, for sure!

Glad you guys made it out all right. It made it to Cedar Rapids at about 9 pm. Not to much damage. Not like 2 years ago when we had 145mph winds here

Storms like that are a regular occurrence here in Oklahoma. Except for the past 4-5 weeks, we have had zilch in the rain department in my area. One town out in western Oklahoma actually got over 5” of rain a day or two ago. They were the only town in the whole stats that got rain.

I'm glad everything was mostly ok after the storm! Really enjoyed the drone footage, I'd like to see more of that!

Rain? What’s rain? We haven’t had any measurable rain in over a month and 100+ temps every day here in lovely Oklahoma. Green Acres it’s not. Right now anyway. Thanks for the video and glad you guy’s didn’t get blowed away.

    Great video
Green Acres for the answer at the end. I still watch that show when I can find it, Hee-Haw too!

Looked as if Ellie was providing a little “Localized heavy downpour” of her own there.
You guys could use a small gasoline powered generator there at Storla Station. Could come in handy.

Wow great video, great drone shots from the approaching storm 😍 (hoping it didnt cause any big damage in the region) ... the fast grey cloud was a shelf cloud marking the cold outflow from the storm👍🏻😁
