- Pt. Venkatesh Kumar presented another favourite in Raag Basant at the FEA-curated PAST/PRESENT festival in Kolkata. He was accompanied by Pt. Samar Saha on tabla and Pt. Jyoti Goho on harmonium. Tanpuras and vocal support were provided by Ramesh Kolkunda and Meher Paralikar.

Sweat pouring down his face but no lack of Bhakti in his voice. Young India needa to wake up to this art form and ancient expression 🙏
As far i have seen him on TH-cam, he usually sweats. Maybe there is AC, but not sure though.
बंदिश को समझने का पंडितजी का तरिका काबिले तारीफ है l बंदिश गानेसेही उसकी महक आने लगती है l जो मूर्धन्य रचनाकार होते है उनके लिये उनकी बंदिश उनकी लाडली बेटी जैसी होती है l उसको अच्छा ससुराल मिले तो रचनाकरको .....बाप को खुशी होती है...... पंडितजी का गला ओर उनका आनंदी व्यक्तित्व हरेक बंदिश के लिये सुखी ससुराल होता है...
रही बात उनके पासिने की.......वो तो उनकी गायन उर्जा का चिन्ह है...... कितने भी एसी लगवा दो.....कोई फर्क न ही पडेगा जी.....

He understands the raga very well and never destroys the ragarup by acrobatics to collect claps from the audience. For him, Basant is Madhur Basant and not to jump like Spring. Just note his mast body language, it is infecting all his accompaniments.
