HI there. Just found your channel have now subscribed and liked. Loved the tour. I have almost finished my van but still need to get solar panels, a B2B with solar input charger and, oddly, a spare wheel as mine is missing. You have provided some great links. Hardly any channels promote budget versions of products. You are using these and stated that they are worth the money. That is great as I am very tight on budget for the last few items. Many thanks.
No worries if you do build your van out always put in a seperate b2b and seperate solar input as if it fails that means you will only lose one form of charge rather than 2 we made the mistake of getting a b2b and solar all in one and it failed constantly so we got a renogy mppt for solar and sterling power b2b and it's been faultless ever since 👌💯

Hi Both. Yes your van looks fantastic. Really attention to detail. I'm still converting my ex sainsbury sprinter. The thing with sprinter is regular oil changes as it has a chain driven engine. U2 are so switched on for such a young couple. I expect your parents are very proud of u. Looking forward to seeing your next video. Lovely dog too. What part of the country are u in. Sound like Liverpudlians, Manchester area, don't want to insult u if not spot on. We're down in Norfolk. They call it God's waiting room. Enjoy your trips. Take care both. Oh forgot. Shell vpower diesel is the best as its direct injection. Best wishes David and Beverley Norfolk
Hi dave thanks for the kind words we normally do. Oil change and service every 6 month we are quite lucky as we got the sprinter with the om646 engine in it 👌💯 the newer om651 suffers from chain problems if not serviced correctly aha we are from St Helens which is in between Liverpool and Manchester currently in the lakes at the minute

You covered everything important . That fridge is my favourite 12 V. Yet. Not that it matters, but the one thing you didn’t mention that Annelis 16:31 e seem to really like the chrome trim 👍
The HC Cargo split-charge relays are around £40, high current & bi-directional. Be careful which Voltage you get though, they switch off at either 12.8V or 10.8V, the first is for charging batteries & the 2nd is for combining battery banks without killing them when the Voltage drops.
Hi! Just recently found your channel, great build and content! Getting loads of ideas for my next build in a big van. Could I just ask a random question. But how have you held your rope up? I can’t think of a way to do it that looks clean! Thanks!
Great job, well done! Just wondering does the bidirectional B-B charger keep the vehicle battery constantly topped up, or will it only pull from the leisure batteries manually? ie is there any risk that the leisure batteries could get eventually get drained by the vehicle battery? The strobe lights are a good idea - I have a rear facing set myself and they're a great safety addition if you're stopped on a roadside, approaching slow traffic, etc and they get used all the time.
Hey! I’ve copied this from their website 😊 The BB1240 is able to charge in both directions. Provided there is over 13.2V on the leisure battery (13.5V if lithium) and the starter battery is below 13V the BB shall allow approximately half current (~20A) to flow back to the starter battery up to about 13.4V (float voltage). It simply allows the starter battery to remain topped up when there is surplus energy in the domestic battery. This feature will NOT drain your domestic battery - it simply takes surplus. Once your alternator / engine turns on or you provide the BB with an ignition signal the BB reverts to normal charging of the leisure battery. This mode can be disabled, but is on as default.
I subscribe to virtually nobody, but I just did to you guys. Though I'll be travelling alone, I too am 6'2", so you being that tall indicates what size of van I should buy. Yes I am going to buy, I'm old, 68 now, so nearly 69 when I start van life. I'm about to inherit a small flat, and I don't want to live in it. But rather than sell It I'm going to try and get a buy to let 10 year interest only mortgage. If I were younger I might have tried to emulate you guys, but what you've built seems just the right size for me, and much of what concerns you seems to line up with what concerns me. I could and will learn much from you. Will say more if we communicate in future.

Because when we don’t have signal on our phone that always give us wifi. Plus gives us faster speeds due to the antenna on the roof
