You have to look back to when he was with Amen Corner to realise how good they were compared to other groups of the time......They were one of a kind and stood out as pure class
Hearing this fab song again and sung by this great bloke as brought tears to my eyes ,WOW how special xxx long live the 60s era Those were the days lol x
A few years ago at Glastonbury, AFL played the Accoustic Tent with Paul Carrick and Nick Lowe. They were good but AFL was brilliant and stole the last 20 minutes of a 60 minute set. The audience just loved it- me included!
Andy asked me to dance in a small club Tiles in Oxford St in London. I was a teenager so nervous and shy. Thank you. I will always treasure the memory.
I met him too. So lovely, friendly, humble. Someone in the retirement home (I kid you not) they were rehearsing in said to him 'Andy Fairweather Low? I'm surprised he's not dead!' and he said 'Me too!'
No comments were able to be made on the bbc documentary so I thought this is just as good as anywhere…what an absolutely brilliant lovely man Mr Fairweather Low seems to be could listen to him talking about his life as a musician for hours…I like many others loved him when he hit our ears as 13yo…hopefully he won’t stop…thank you Andy
Have loved AFL since Amen Corner Days at Youth Club ( Gin House Blues was closing record ) . Got to see him last year at Middlesbrough Town Hall in The Crypt . Amazing . His roadie took me to my seat after his wife who sold the cds told him about me being a fan & then he got me Andy's autograph :)
So amazing! Havn't seen him live yet but really really want to! Also such a nice guy with no airs or graces. Just down to earth and real. May you keep on rocking for years to come Andy.
My introduction to this song and Andy's wonderful singing was the Cassette called The Immediate Singles. I saw the liner notes for the Nice (Nice) Azreal Keith Emerson apologizing for detuning the strings on the piano before Amen Corner's session. I bought this around 1984.
@@stevenaustin8274 Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Joe Satriani, BB King and many more have employed him to play guitar with them. I think that he's pretty good. The trouble is most people think that good guitarists are fast and flash. A good guitarist is someone that plays to suit the song, is reliable, doesn't make mistakes and doesn't behave like a prima Donna.
This guy is so underated. he is a great guitarist, a great singer and one of my favourites and I was around when the originals were released ( scary )
"and I was around when the originals were released" too... ( thrilling! ) (⌒▽⌒)
Bully for you@@jiji1946
Another brilliant artist from my youth brings back the best memories you still have it Andy xx

Great song, great band, Andy gave us really excellent performance.
This is as good as it gets. Absolutely sublime performance.
Saw Amen Corner perform this live for a Radio Show in Manchester in 1967. His voice hasn't changed much in all those years.
Seeing him in concert on Sunday, a real hero from back in the day where we had real musicians

A great song by the great Italian composer and singer Lucio Battisti...

He gets better as he gets older!
Was very fortunate to see Andy at Nantwich Blues Festival some years back. Small venue. One of the best gigs I ever attended.
He's still got it 😊
One of the best guitarists ever !!!
Hmmm thats a bit of a stretch

Lucio Battisti 😘Great Andy! A cool version! Very super!
Oh my gosh, this makes me cry....

That false ending was really good….and Andy’s intro is fabulous…how do you remember all those pickings ?
He makes it all look easy.

Top man Andy. Seen him a couple of times with Eric Clapton and saw Amen Corner as a teenager but he just gets better with age!

Bloody brilliant!
Ah, Andy thunder thighs. Nice one.

Magic!
Great memories of seeing Andy performing this live in Scarborough in the late 60s.
Love this.
Voice pretty much the same as it was back then, Brilliant !
Got to see Amen Corner live at the Boston 65 or 66. They were very good Band live
That surprised me, Andy is quite a good guitar player, I seem to think of him as just the singer, you learn something everyday, thoroughly enjoyed it.
He's been hired and worked for some of the greats like Eric Clapton. He's an amazing guitar player.
Great to see Andy still doing this song,i got it when this first came out,omg seems so long ago now. Well done mate.
Superb version!
Damn amazing song, really is. 👍🎧👍 nz
Lovin the keys...
Saw him perform on basil brush show London 1967
God be with the days.
Legend!!
If I was one of the good people of Darwin, I think I would have been bopping around with a tad more enthusiasm. Andy and the band sound fabulous
Magnificent.
Andy is as good on a guitar as any of the greats from his era.
He's worked with most of them so that says it all. If Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck hire you that speaks volumes about your ability.
@@craiglewis6145l just saw him with Clapton on Sunday and he was tremendous!
@@robplante8631 fantastic!
