I cannot hear you Scion Priestly, as you were not given permission to speak. Now, to your positions! The hard, cold ground is cover enough for the Tempestus Scions!
I have 2 kill teams from Imperial.guard and tempestus scions. The regular guard is good for overwhelming foes, but if you are going against enemies with armor and multiple wounds you should field as much scions as possible and take advantage of their armor piercing characteristics, and you con compliment your army with regular guard unita wich will allow you to make actual strategic movements and flank your enemy or create a multilayered defense position.
my advise when playing them as i have a army is to play the ioden dragons, the scions weakness is range so to have 24 inch hot shot lasguns instead of 18 inch is invalubale. also have pleanty of command squads and taurox primes or else youll struggle dealing with heavy units
I have a 4 squads divided between 2 taurox primes and valkyries for deep strike. Squads are mixed with plasma and hotshot volley guns. The new options from The Greater Good has been a boost for them.
I currently have a 2000 pt Millitarum Tempestus army that I have used a couple of times.. 3/4 is in Taurox and the other 1/4 are in Valkyries. I use the 1/4 to deep strike to capture objectives or to harass certain units while the 3/4 I use with the Taurox in support with auto-cannons and missile launchers.
@@OneMindSyndicate I roll 5 Taurox and 2 Valkyries in my army. you can use both of them in the same army, but if you are just getting a feel for them go with Taurox firsts.
I think they’re best used as auxiliaries to Astra Militarum forces, generally to score objectives behind enemy lines once they’ve pushed up into your gun line.
I run my scion detachment as the 43 iotan dragons with a 10 man squad w hotshot lasguns, a command squad of 4 plasma and a temepestor prime with a command rod. The 10 man gets ordered frfsrf with point blank efficacy on them and can pretty reliably take out 10 necron warriors. The command squad get ordered take aim and over charges at whatever needs finishing off. The +6 to rapid fire range is useful and while not the most competitive I love rolling a fist full of dice
I'm trying to play mono Scions army, 133 Lambdan Lions to be exact, basically when using that regiment you should deep strike your forces right onto the points whilst issuing your scions hot-shot volley guns , mostly use 5 model squads and use 10 model squads for destroying large ammounts of enemy infantry , plus to that try to make use of 133'rd relic - it gives you the invulnerability shield 5+ to your tempestor prime, which you can upgrade to 4+ when casting a night shroud with a psyker primaris .( Or at least i think that this psy power is callee night shroud, I haven't really used psykers until the release of psychic awakening ) in addition to what i said you should also have at least 2-3 Tauroxes for fire support and for delivering psykers and tech priests ( for as you might remember - Taurox is quite squishy with it's 6th toughness and it needs constant repairs ), aaand in addition to that I'd advise you to use Valkyries with hammerblow strategem for Scions regiments, ah and also , if you have a lot of money I'd advise you to buy 2-3 vultures with twin punisher gatling cannons, these flyers are great for covering your infantry . That's kinda about it , sorry if it was hard for you to understand my blabbering in this commentary , English is not my native language.
are they standing in an open room ten feet from eachother with their basic weapons or are they hunting eachother in a zone mortalis with the keys to the armoury?
I don't play Militarum Tempestus yet. My plan is to enhance my Deathwatch force with a force of MTs. I would like to use them both as additional gun-line support and behind the enemy lines harassing elements...
I feel kind of embarrassed that I didn’t know there were different regiments of the Scions. Well, at least unique ones. I thought they were more like commissars where they might have some cultural variations (like Krieg commissars wearing masks and having to wrangle the guardsmen rather than needing to motivate them.) but were overall pretty much cookie cutter copies of one another.
Scions rock! I keep several squads in my all infantry "Export Force" astra militarum army, which is just guardsmen and heavy weapons, no ground vehicles: Get scion command squad and lord commisar to lead. Max out on melta guns and bombs, you can get 4 melta shots and 2 plasma pistol shots and/or two melta bombs from command squad. Put as many scions as you can in a valkyre Use them as a reserve. If you need something really dead, drop all the mortars and heavy bolters you can to soften, give it a gun run as the valkyre comes in, drop the scions in and you got a real party starter
I want to make another army on 40k that is not only chaos cause I already got Thousandsons and I always liked how the Tempestus Scions looked so I might just pick them up
Hands down, the 55th Alphic Hydras are best. Only they are so utterly and unshakenly loyal to get regularly recruited into the glorious ranks of the magnificent Ultra Marines! ...just as we planned. *chuckles in XX Legion*
Why would you mindwipe 33rd Deltec Phoenix's? Wouldn't that make them aggressive towards Dark Eldar to kill them? I mean unless its stop the soldiers from going off on their own. Still I would encourage that hatred towards the Dark Eldar if it was already there for them. Just a question, love the videos @OneMindSyndicate
Only when they have no option. An example of this was on Armageddon where a Hive city was under siege so Commissar Yarrick had the civilians population made into militia including the children. However this is only done in extreme cases 95% of the time they will be evacuated.
#question - Do you know the uses/whereabouts or the different centurio ordinatus (beside ordinatus amageddon, thanks to Helsreach)? Those gigantic land weapons are way cool! And thanks for your posts!
I have a vast Astra Militarium force that has attached a force of 65 military Tempestus along with three Valkyries and two vultures. I most enjoy deploying the scions and their wing separate of the standard Astra Militarium. If I am go in to fight eldar, dark eldar, tau or similar armies with fair armor and toughness 3 hot shot lasers are the answer. Against chaos space marines, larger tyranids, and, vehicles the volly guns just do not have the punch. Then every squad was a plasma or melta gun. Also a master vox caster with a vox caster in each unit is essential to be at maximum effectiveness. I do not really like the Taurox units. The speed and agility of rhe valkyries despite their "fragileness" make a better choice. And lastly despite their very high leadership I ALWAYS deploy these units with commissaars.
I hadn't realised how much you lads had improved your presentation and editing in the last year. Glad to see you're working hard at your craft.

Imperial Guard
Ashbringer85 they are was more relatable
No hay que hecharle mierda a otra facción para resaltar a otra xd
They hold the line. They ARE the Imperium, personified.
Courage-wise, certainly. Skill wise, a Space Marine would crush a guardsman.
They are winning an awful lot of matchups in this vid that Space Marines lost
F in the chat for the 54th
Suggestion: necrons
Are there any Tempestus Scions regiment that served alongside the Dark Angels?
Unlikely with the amount of secrets they carry around they tend too keep to them selves
So if a tempests scions went one on one with a sister of battle would it be a close fight
Nah sisters of battle have boltguns
Bilal Mir sisters would crush them
