So basically scions are like space marines but unaugmented, why doesn't the Inperium have more of these guys on every world? I feel like if the Imperium had whole regiments of these guys they wouldn't even need space marines. I'm somewhat new to 40k lore but i'm very much enjoying it. Keep up the goos work guys.
Random thought If an alternative reality took place where the scions gear and training were the norm and where tempestus solar (forgot its real name) from the great crusade still exist and improved is it possible to dramatically reduce the world's that have been lost due to lacking of military presence or no becuz fucking warp fuckery and communications are still outdated af
guardian of the toasters having an elite force in every world would help but it depends on the level of threat. For example a tyranid invasion would crush a scion regiment

Question and idea for Gershuan: Since the Nids want to consume all bio-matter; could the Genestealers infiltrate an Ork clan and form a cult? Idea: "Geneloota klanz" boys could be hybrids, purple orks with carapaced heads; that be a great conversion
Tempestus Scions > Space Marines. All I'm saying is Scions are the Mandalorians/Clones of 40 while the Space Marines are the Jedi, Overrated to the real badass of 40k.

They did actually back in 30k the imperial army was mostly made up of the Solar Auxilla and had void armor, precursors of the Imperial guard
