      44:36 tbh it’s their fault and it’s not their fault , it’s the NDTVs fault that they were thinking that the government who’s lap they’re sitting in will go on forever
      And it’s not their mistake now because , I mean think about it once you go up in life, then suddenly you can’t come back down , I mean imagine you’re used to driving a Mercedes now if you’re suddenly down to maruti suzuki , It will leave a bitter taste in your mouth
      Now imagine you’re downed by the government, whom you thought you will control using your propaganda against 😂

      @SamvedIyer ปีที่แล้ว +48

      In some sense, it was not an 'expose'; anyone with the least discernment already knew this. I suppose many among the younger generations watch the cacophonies of Republic TV and Times Now, and contrast it with NDTV's equanimity, and infer that the latter does journalism whereas the former two only erect a circus. It is not quite true. Certainly, a calmer tone is an important factor, but it is not the sole factor.

    • @adarshverma2014

I brought this up with the higher ups that it's a waste of money for that so called consultant who doesnt even answer our phones. He told me that the real reason for hiring NDTV is to be in the good books of the dispensation of the day as they can broker to get "things done" with their connections and told me to ignore those consultants. Then I moved to another channel after a while and it was the same story there. Every regional channel was wooing them for their influence.

      there is a reason for that ,, with almost nazi like propaganda driven news channels the pushback turned into vitriolic ,, all these news channels existed before 2014 too ,, i have never seen so much of demonising and it was started by pro bjp news channels ,,people used to protest before 2014 too ,, but no one demonised them like the present govt does ,, and news channels are supporting that political party ,, why difd they turned there narrative in such a way ,,

    People criticising Seema ji for her seemingly rightist approach must remember that everyone has their biases. But the true journalist will try to find the balance by not being blatant without the necessary facts. The true journalist will paint the picture whilst trying to be wholesome, rather than just putting up cropped up images.
    I think the thing with NDTV was as she said, they always had the access no matter what. But post-jio era has substantially diminished the value of media's influence, as the value of ' access ' factor got substantially deminished. People no more rely on the media houses to form opinions. This has been seemed as a threat in many of the top tier journalists of the past and their agony of loosing the status and the stature is highly visible !
