There is another way to find the perfect pace for a new runner. Using power and the power duration curve model. Unfortunately it’s not easy to sell or explain to a runner and requires 3 maximal efforts for durations 20 mins or lower

I've been running for 20 years and it's still the hardest thing to do. Sometimes just going out hard and hanging on works
