I thought in an earlier story Chris said there just happened to be a poster of a flamingo or some such on the wall in their room backstage .. and that's how they got the idea of using one as their band's "symbol" .. ?
I always thought that was tacky to propose marriage in a public place with an audience .. It puts pressure on the other party to say "yes", rather than whether they sincerely want to on their own .. It's also, IMHO, a private thing ..
