Got turned on to you last week, Jamel. My wife and I love you - age 67. Been into music my entire life, love to see people turned on by it. You're doing God's work.
I'm so glad that Christopher Cross knows how much you appreciate his music and gives you love and respect back. It's great to see. Stay safe and Keep on Rocking.
This song was written by Chris and one of his cohorts for an episode of "Growing Pains". I personally think that he is one of the really underrated songwriters and performers. I've been to two of his concerts in the past 5-6 years and he still sounds great and seems like such a down-to-earth and decent guy . . . PURE MAGIC!!!

bradness Hi, yes I definitely agree. He’s one of the best Yacht artists ever! Being that that genre of music is a mixture of different types of music, to me it’s a smooth & soothing sound I consider easy listening. ✌🏻
bradness I agree in part. I do however think that Michael McDonald ( who may be on every Yacht Rock recording) deserves his kudos! 😊 what do you think?
I love his voice. I still remember the first time I heard him on the radio...1980 - “Ride Like the Wind”. This song is just as beautiful. Thank you for such wonderful music, Mr. Cross! And thank you, Jamel, for such great reviews!
That's awesome that Chris bought one of your shirts and was proud to show it off. Humility and appreciation reap more rewards than any other attributes. You and he share that spirit. Good for you brother. And good to know Christopher is still the kind of person we thought he was back in the day. The lyrics to this were written by the great John Bettis. John used to be in a band with Richard and Karen Carpenter. John wrote the lyrics to "Top of The World" and "Only Yesterday" for The Carpenters. Chris hangs with the elites of the music world. He wrote "Arthur's Theme" with Burt Bacharach, Carole Bayer Sager and Peter Allen. It don't get any more royal than that. Blessings.
It's wonderful to put Chris on after a stress filled day ... he just has a way of lifting that veil of angst off of your shoulders and making you feel like it's going to be alright ... no matter what. Thanks brother for playing this, many blessings.

This is a prime reason why YT shouldn't block reactions. Jamel learns about great tunes from us, then those of us who don't know the tune hear it, and if we love it, we'll buy it. And the artists like Christopher Cross and Ambrosia love Jamel for getting the word out and they respond with love in kind. Lots of winners here and loved shared! ❤

This song is simply beautiful in so many ways. I'm a man and I have been SWEPT AWAY as Christopher sings about. It's a wonderful feeling. I'm sure many other guys out there have been there but just don't admit it. Many of us were brought up believing not to show our emotions. We all need to be loving to each other and not afraid to show it.
Probably one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard! I had the pleasure of seeing him twice, Opened for Fleetwood Mac in 1981in Las Cruces, NM, USA and saw him at the Spencer Theater in Ruidoso, NM, USA🦋💞💞💞Thank you J!!!!
When I heard you say that we need to keep this music alive and to share it, you have stated a wish of mine that my era of music should always be alive. For several years now, as I age, I have been downright worried that my music I grew up with would fling across the cosmos never to exist again! I mean that honestly, and as I watch your show I now realize that it never will leave. I guess that I thought that no one, such as yourself would be around to keep the vault open and I was so wrong. Thank you for reminding people that the love and peace from the 60’s and 70’s music was, and is for a purpose. Most of those musicians were young adults, kids, learning from each other how to play the guitar. Growing up a lot of kids in my neighborhood had garage bands and you could hear music all summer long! Bring along a tambourine, spoons, or harmonica and you could join in. This music came from those kids that I grew up with!! Thank you Jamel TC. Vicki from Iowa.
Men need to love the same as women do. My best friend was swept away by a woman many years ago and because he was willing to keep himself clean from bad of the world, he still is swept away by the same woman today. The best love is not found by tasting everything the world offers before you decide. The best love is found when you find it and then you hope it is given back. The only way you know if it is given back is from listening to your own heart and soul and your gut and remembering what mothers' always say. It is amazing how many times we men find true love and we don't know it because we are so distracted and "spread out" with our thoughts.
Christopher Cross' voice.... hauntingly magnetic and beautiful... he PULLS you in... that voice URGES you to listen... to FEEL!! I love him!!!🥰🥰🥰 Karen Carpenter's voice has the very same effect on my senses...❤❤❤
