i like this figure a lot but i added some more shading to mine just to make it pop more.. i made the lips a little smaller and changed the eyebrows
Her head weighs more than her body. She's really hard to pose due to her massive head weight. She's very gummy...$27.99. They over engineered her wrist straps. Those lighting effects are RUFF.
Even though I had completed Jim Lee X-Men, I am sucha big fan, so I'm buying all VHS figures! I love cel-shading!...and I loooved Mr.Sinister LOL

I can't wait until all the female legs are pinless, the ones with pins are just pure garbage and way too gummy.

Storm new head sculpt looks beautiful and my legs didn't come gummy but very sturdy which can do good poses same for my retro card storm no problem, I think depending the copies we get sometimes, like example wolverine vhs got to 2 right boot legs on the figures and was very gummy in articulation but was lucky to get 2 copies of him due the other one came better painted, Qc problem and sturdy. Hopefully Jean come also good

What’s the point of the gummy ness with marvel legends I never understood it some are gummy some are not . Awesome review
They aren’t really supposed to be gummy, that’s the problem
I'm enjoying these but agree they are not must-haves if you already have the original versions. I like Jubilee way more than the original, though, because the sunglasses on that first release were so loose and fall off my figure so easily, so the additional headsculpt with the glasses on her forehead makes me happy. I also like her glasses as opaque instead of clear. REALLY hope they decide to put Cyclops on the Vulcan body for his animated figure (if they don't use the Love Triangle body).
I apologize for my negativity - I am not an X-Men animation collector, but I do have the white costumed comic book Storm. The elephant-in-the-room cel-shading topic is hotly debated however it is easily resolved. But only Hasbro can do it. Look at Storm on the box. She's a resemblance of the animation character right? Her shading is three colors. It is white blue and black. It is like this with all their animated characters - Hasbro only applies the characters costume color and one color for shading. Not even comics do that! So where did Hasbro put the third color? Under her hair!!!!! And speaking of hair - Storm's resembles Tina Turner's hairdo from Beyond the Thunderdome.
That's because hasbro does it the cheapest way possible. People are excited for the box, but these figures don't look like the box art at all, they look like crap in my opinion. A company like neca, that is in the same ballpark as far as price goes, killls it in the paint and sculpt department (you can't even compare accessories from the two companies). Their articulation is probably on par with ML also. People need to make hasbro own up to sub par products.
@@tilmonr In all earnest I do believe we are experiencing a transition period for us hobbyists. We all know they are toys, but there are preferences like posablility and articulation that correlates to the character hobbyists' require. Hasbro is not meeting those requirements. I am not saying they no longer produce some pretty decent stuff, but when they are pushing toys to collectors, and sadly that is what this one is - a bath toy, their extorted prices make it difficult to support them.
@@JayWoods483 i agree. It shouldn't take a haslab size project to make the products more in line with adult collectors. The sentinel was good but they still sort of screwed that up by not putting ratchets in the knees. I still buy some ML, but it's been a while since I bought an entire wave.
@@tilmonr a whole wave? The Crimson Dynamo BAF wave. Haslab is great in theory but lousy so far in application. The fact of whether the knee is repairable is moot when quality is expected because of the $$$ spent on it. Like a Doomhead for a tier.
@@JayWoods483 and that's a pretty old BAF wave. I think the last complete set i got was the Villains wave. That one actually had some good figures in it overall. If galactus is not up to par, he'll likely be the last haslab i get.
