The Absolute Carnage did have Butterfly Joints, it’s undoubtedly is Hasbro’s best Carnage, but this one’s okay too

i canceled my pre order for the doc ock and aunt may set cause i got this one in hand and was just not a fan of it, so i sold it off to one of my friends and got my money back. i would have liked this more had they just been on the retro card cause the animated series is still special to me and i watched it all this week on disney plus. used to have all the figures from animated series even the hard to find ones like captain america and blade. played with those for hours on end. good times.
I kinda want the Spider-Man, but just to pop the arms and legs off, remove cel-shading, and pop those onto the previously released black costume Spidey. Also, it does seem like they've re-engineered something in the Sunfire legs, as I just got that Spider-Man villains pack, the Molten Man can also get those crazy splits.
I love the show I recently watched the whole series and didn’t realize that it ended prematurely. With them bring the X-Men series back I hope they do the same with Spider-Man.

Yeah, I was kinda hoping that Spider-Man: The Animated Series would be revived as well, and they can finally close it out like they intended to. The only thing is...a large portion of the original voice cast is dead. They would have to almost completely recast it and I don't think it would have the same charm to it. Unless they hired sound-alike actors. Or I guess they could just write those characters out and not feature them anymore as a way to get around it.
Ithink we will get inevitably a Cell Shade spidey Ala the Walmart exclusive but with a renew your vows body and a reissue Venom Pulse exclusive with his white square web shooters that were missing from the previous release
Yeah I’d like my Symbiote Spidey figure to have pinless arms and legs plus the toe joints, but I’m not buying these at that price, I’ll do fine with my existing one and Carnage.
I’m guessing we will get both Peter and Mary Jane but not together, I’m guessing each with a villain of some sort.
I just got these and love both of them, the only thing I can agree with most is that the cel shading should've been a darker navy blue maybe metallic or translucent paint
Honestly I really like this Spider-Man, I think he looks good and comes with everything that Spider-Man should have (extra head would be nice).
BUT Carnage is a dissapointment. He's too skinny for TAS version, the red is too bright and black lines are pretty bad, the accessories are mostly good (like he's head, that looks great) but the axe is wrong and for reused figure I expected a little bit more.
As a 2-pack I'll give them 7/10 (mostly because of Spider-Man)
I fought with myself for a while before getting this set ...I eventually ended up getting it right before it shipped and even tho I'm a huge fan of Symbiote spiderman and I love how carnage looks....I'm still very happy I got this set ... looking forward to the Doc Oc and the Aunt May set
Now that this is out and the doc ock two pack was revealed, I'm hopong for more wanted animated vhs packs. For me, I would LOVE a Mary Jane and Hydro Man 2 pack (they go well together being ex lovers). We need an updated Hydro Man, with interchangeable water arms and normal arms, maybe a puddle blast effect or better yet a geyser lower body part that can be swapped with his legs. And for Mary Jane, have her in the outfit from the animated series (pink sweater, yellow cardigan, cowgirl boots etc) and for accessories give her gripping hands to hold onto your spiderman figures to mimic swinging scenes and an extra head with a "gasping" expression. THAT would definitely sell fast, especially since a citizen Mary Jane is needed for Spidey collectors. Last time we got one was the toys r us exclusive years ago, and is going for insane prices on third party markets. So many collectors are in dire need of a civilian Mary Jane

Amazing Fantasy is high school. Animated series is college. So yeah, it was pretty dumb for that Walmart version to be on a smaller body.
Neither the Spider-Man or X-Men animated series hold up in my opinion. Batman still does.
I think it is weird that they use photo real printing on faces for cel shaded figures.
About the height of Spider-Man, technically he’s only supposed to be 5’10” tall so imo I think the AF body is the perfect Spidey buck, but as far as Animated he was bigger. Hopefully we get a new one on the RYV buck minus the cel-shading with the animated head. 😅
So does craven fall as part of this line or is the retro card just its own thing separate?
It’s a little tricky for sure, but basically some retro figures could essentially pass as animated series. Cel-shaded figures are like truly official official. Black Cat, Scorpion, Kraven work well for animated series
As far as the Spider-Man in this set, I'll probably just get the single release Animated Series Black Suit online instead.
I would definitely like to see the animated series green goblin and hobgoblin because the retro versions were trash IMO. Vulture would be welcome. Chameleon, dammit. And maybe a slightly larger TAS Lizard? And Mysterio? And If I heard right there will be 4 Two packs. So we got 2 and 2 more to go. + There will ALWAYS be hero VS villain. so peter and mj in one pack is impossible. Maybe in the future. As for what other allies I'd like to see? The Punisher and Madame Web. Moving on to this 2pack, I really can't decide because I wanted a classic carnage with a cletus head, an ax and big claws. I'm just hesitant to paint. A bit too little black and black spider-man in my opinion the color of blue is cool but how bad it looks it sucks I have no words. they did a great job with Venom. + I hope that when they resume the black spiderman with blue shading, it will be on a smaller bodymold because I really already have enough spider-men in the classic red and blue costume XD I have the absolute carnage this one is their best by far but has almost nothing except absolute head. And got the retro symbiote spidey soo it's not like I don't have these characters but as I said earlier I could use classic carnage and more black/ blue outstanding sybmiote spidey
I really want this pack. I don't have a carnage and I love this, my preorder is ready to reprocess but I'm tempted to see if this goes on sale.
We need Peter Parker/Mary Jane, chameleon/ Nick fury, vulture/ hydro man, punisher/blade, man spider, spider carnage/ spider man with doc Oct tentacles
I got this set because i collect carnage stuff and im weak. This is a very lackluster set for almost $60 after shipping. Couldnt even get a window so i can see my figures

I agree I love the venom pulse edition I bought two I didn’t like the blue in Spider-Man I do love carnage I had to buy him separately on eBay brand new so I’m happy cleadus head sculp looks bad ass I been looking for the perfect carnage and venom and both from this retro wave pops ❤for me

If the Cel shading was thinner it would definitely improve the supposed animation intention. Because it’s so thick it comes across goofy.

First off. I'm not a fan of drop down hips or toe articulation, especially when the hips doesn't add much, second. I think we will get Parker and Jane 2 pack animated and a spiderman and venom vhs 2 pack. They are saying they doing vhs boxes. Those has to be what's going to be in them.

RYV body is dope but they will use the fuck out it, which I can’t blame them but it’s more expensive for hasbro. They’re charging so much money for the ps5 spidey and that’s the most expensive solo release with the RYV body. The only other release is the scarlet Spider-Man which is the only single release. So idk if it’s because of body mold prices or what
