I watched Seve round Sunningdale in the late 80s. He was a different class in terms of rhythm and athleticism compared to most of the other competitors, came nowhere!
I remember thinking what a weird sport golf was! Didnt expect to become obsessed with it in later life!

I remember seeing Seve at Wentworth in 85 0r 86, back then the caddies had shag bags on the range and players used there own balls, the caddies never took more than one step in either direction before flicking the ball with a club into the bag, incredible ball striking.

Not enough is heard about Manuel de la Torre. Completely non traditional swing method. V's of both hands pointed toward the center of the body, every club played in the middle of the stance, club is taken back with both hands and the downswing begins with the upper arms. Fascinating book and teacher. Simplifies the swing and it works

I so agree. It's the best method of swinging a club out there.

I've been converted to MDLT methods since October of 2022. Could have REALLY used it in 1982 when I was learning. But later is better than never. Love my new swing.

It’s all about swinging the arms and the club in a circular clockwise motion, not a straight line directly at the ball

Also, the Henry Cotton tire drill helped me understand the proper move.
that's it. And lots of practice.

It would be beneficial, slow motion, front on, down the line swing. Thank you
