    Hi, I'm kinda new to Revit. Maybe could you share with us your Revit learning journey? How long does it takes you before you know you are good.. are there any other references such as books // online tutorials that you would recommend? Thx! Please keep the videos coming, I'm sure you will be able to rake up more subscribers!

    Great tips! Something I find useful is using the short cut (KS) Keyboard Shortcuts, I can use it to search shortcuts, edit/ add shortcuts to match the other software I use and if I am looking for a specific button, it shows the path to where I can find it.

    These are great. I would also include having a nice mouse with shortcut keys. You can program shortcuts in Revit to it. Mine are currently the Move and Copy command. These mice are also better for your hand when compared to a cheap mouse.

    Hi! Could you explain next time how to work with MASS tool? I m almost dying trying to create some organic columns (à la Isozaki's QNCC). I will appreciate. Btw as always cool video :)

    • @ThatBIMGirl
      @ThatBIMGirl  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hahah :D I can imagine... I think a structure like that would be rather hard to create in revit....you would either have to depict it a bit more abstract (with sharp edges) or model it in a different tool (like rhino maybe?) and import it.. maybe it is also possible in 3d max, because then the import might be smoother.. but I have never worked with 3d max... but anyways I can still make a video about the mass tool if you would like..You mean the in-place mass tool right?

    • @apollopindelski3039
      @apollopindelski3039 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      haha ok, so if it is rather hard even for you-my revit master, then I think I should give up and build them in rhino :) Yeah me neither. Week or two weeks ago I had to choose 3ds max or Revit to learn, and I picked Revit. Hope it was perfect choise :d Yes in-place mass tool ofc. That would be super cool, but if you have better topic for next week, then me and my columns will patiently wait for it :) Thx for answer, BEST :)

      I looked at what you referenced and you could make those in Revit. It would take some knowledge of the massing tools and the use of reference planes. The manipulation of the edge and profiles of the mass would be key into getting it to look more organic.

    Huhu, da hier immer so wenig steht... einige Fragen aus Berlin nach München: Wieviel Prozent deiner Mitstudenden nutzen eigentlich Revit für ihre Projekte? Und was sagen sie zu deinem TH-cam-Nebenjob?
    Könnte mir gut noch mehr Videos aus der Uni-perspektive vorstellen... Okay, weiter so

    • @ThatBIMGirl
      @ThatBIMGirl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hehe :) also die Architekturstudenten nutzen recht wenig Revit. Eher Vectorworks oder ArchiCAD. Aber wir Bauingenieure nutzen eigentlich ausschließlich Revit. Aber wir haben auch nicht soo viele Projekte.
      Dass ich TH-cam nebenbei mache, finden eigentlich alle ganz cool/lustig :D ich war aber mega überrascht, ich dachte ich würde viel mehr hate bekommen. Aber eigentlich sind alle voll supportive :)
      Ja stimmt das hatte ich auch schonmal überlegt was aus der Uniperspektive zu machen. Muss ich mir mal überlegen, wie ich das mache... dann brauche ich ja auch eine Drehgenehmigung von der Uni und so

    • @koronimus
      @koronimus 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mmmh, also ich würde an deiner Stelle unbedingt den Blog-aspekt unterstreichen. Mehr hin zu Interviews (wie zuletzt bei Autodesk, oder vielleicht warum deine Mitstudenten andere Programme besser finden und dann vergleichen mit dem was Revit kann), oder Städtereisen (wie mit Paris vorgelegt) und mehr Praxisbeispiele. Damit würde sich dein Kanal noch mehr abgeben -Gute Tutorials gibt es schon massenhaft. Think about it.

Do you think this would have actually helped you in the first place when you were a beginner ..? Or are you trying to make a video just to have bother video in your library?
