- SABC News can reveal how Dr Nandipha Magudumana & Thabo Bester allegedly swindled a high-profile doctor of millions of rand.
In an EXCLUSIVE interview with the SABC, Dr Mmereka Ntshani, popularly known as Dr Pashy, tells of how Magudumana allegedly lured her and then set her up with TK Nkwana, an alias used by Bester, claiming he was her business partner in America.
She claims she handed her two passports to Magudumana, after the two promised to assist her in securing the required documentation, to host a women's empowerment conference abroad.
Magudumana was found in possession of Dr Pashy's two passports in Tanzania after she and the convicted rapist had fled the country.
Dr Pashy has since opened a case of fraud, theft, forgery and uttering against the two.
She also tells SABC News senior reporter Chriselda Lewis of how Bester would sometimes communicate with her via video call in various locations.

I had to delete and change my view about her story. She said Tabo Bester used to call her from different locations, but the man was in prison. How was that possible? Or was she talking to someone else calling from those different locations?

But she mentioned at some point she would go to her then immediately changed and said I would call her. I mean if you have never had to meet or go to someone and only spoke on the phone no matter how nervous you don't make such mistakes.

They charge over R 2200 per hour.
They’re needed before and after surgery.

Whether her story is true or not, one thing im certain about scammers and their victims is they instill trust and comfort on their victims, one would do or believe everything or anything that the normal you wouldn't believe, its an unfortunate situation that no one deserves, pray and strength for the doctor

Like a multi level marketing scam, buy your way in at certain levels invite ten others to buy in at a lower level, then you go up, and those 10 invite ten of their friends and so it goes. Magnificent events, noise food music money and awards. A scammers delight. Where did Nandipha and Bester hide all that money? Is it being used to pay for her civil case? Even so it needs to be confiscated.

They even tried to get me to sign the contract before attending the presentation. I was wiser and never fell for it. These ppl are so calculating. I think she is sincere. I don't think she is a collaborator of those 2 criminals. Her downfall was just that her personal ambitious went ahead of her. She's a driven woman. Succeed at all cost! She made an honest mistakes in trusting Nandipha who at the time was well known as one of the top young successful professionals in Mzansi and had a very solid medical and Aesthetics practice.

I think that she is sincere. She was duped. She believed in Dr Nandipha Magudumana. Dr Nandipha is a well known social media celebrity and her base is a medical and aesthetics business that many have visited. Ofcourse Dr Pashy should have done due diligence with the contracts but unfortunately for her she relied on Nandipha. Very sad and I feel for her. A lot of people would have probably or have fell victim of these 2 criminals (Thabo Besyer and Nandipha)

It seems she's truthful. She doesn't confuse her story at all referring to him as TK nkwana as she describes her dealings with them and as bester when she talks of finding out the truth. Her eyes well up and redden as we get to the part of the truth. Seems like very genuine reaction. What a scam. She should have insisted on meeting in the US with nkwana to aign contracts physically since she already had a visa and could afford to travel. They say the rear view mirror is 20/20 vision
