Thanks for this video. I am 70 and planning to get 16 veneers next week. I want to have a shade that is somewhat age appropriate. I know everyone is different, but just curious if in your experience there is a range of shades you tend to use for older folks? I have seen some ultra whites on seniors and to me it's way too brilliant. Best regards
I agree with you. In my opinion, a mature male normally does not look good with ultra white teeth. Again, in my opinion, any age woman looks good with very light veneer shades, so long as the veneers reflect and refract light similar to natural teeth, but women also color their hair and wear red lipstick and colored eye shadow. For a man your age, I normally want a light shade, but not an ultra white shade. I normally like a shade around Vita B-2 or A-2. Aesthetics is a personal thing.I hope that is helpful.

Always evaluate the lip line vs. the gum line when the patient smiles. If the gum line is not displayed when the patient smiles, then you do not have to alter the gemlike with crown lengthening or grafting. If it is displayed, then you may need to alter the gingival line. If it is just a minimal gingival discrepancy, it may not need to be altered.
